Farrah Abraham Says She’s Finished With Reality TV, Wants To Work On Serious Acting Career

Farrah Abraham may have gotten her start on 16 & Pregnant and the subsequent Teen Mom OG, but the reality star has said she’s done with the genre. The controversial figure, who has also starred in her own sex tape and sold molds of her privates, is now trying to make the transition to serious acting.

The Teen Mom OG star has previously played a role in a slasher film, Axeman III: Overkill, but she hasn’t specified which type of acting roles she’s interested in seeking once she makes the transition.

Those who have followed Farrah Abraham’s career will know that the reality star didn’t just get her start with the genre, but that she’s branched out into other reality TV shows far more than most of the Teen Mom crew. She’s also appeared on Botched, Millionaire Matchmaker, Celebrity Big Brother: UK, Couples Therapy, and is currently taking a turn at patching up her relationship with her parents (which doesn’t seem to have worked) on Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars Family Edition.

Farrah Abraham has, in the past, called the show that made her famous, Teen Mom, trashy and has squared up to producers calling them white trash as well. She has also been feuding with all of her cast mates, to the point that she was the only one not invited on a cast trip.

Not only is the reality star currently in two reality series that are still airing, but is also set to star in one more reality series before she throws in the towel. She will be starring with several British reality TV stars on an unscripted series called Love, Socially where she will search for a partner via the dating show. They will travel to London and Australia to find their perfect matches and could even end up with fans.

“I will always have a place in my heart for reality TV as I [have] history in reality television and for social issues time and time again-– but I must continue creating in a different way in my free time,” she said.

Farrah Abraham has been a staple on reality TV because she knows how to bring the drama. On Celebrity Big Brother: UK, she found ways to play the villain and brawl with pretty much every other cast member on the show. And currently, on Marriage Bootcamp, not only does Farrah get into it with her own parents, but she also takes cast member Kendra Wilkinson and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino to task. Her brash, disrespectful, not afraid of anyone attitude is what makes her so successful on reality television, and it will be interesting to see if she can transition to a more serious role in the entertainment industry.

The reality TV star has been feuding with castmates Amber Portwood and Matt Baier for the past couple of years now, and recently sent them a cease and desist letter to warn them of her likely taking further legal action if they don’t stop speaking about her.

Amber Portwood, however, claims that Farrah Abraham is all talk and that no cease and desist letter was ever sent.

“Not only am I unaware of any cease and desist being sent, it’s also rather unnecessary. I have no interest in discussing Farrah or having any dialogue with her or her legal team. I’d strongly prefer she keep my name out of her mouth altogether,” Amber said to E! News.

At one point, fellow Teen Mom Maci Bookout threatened to quit the show if Farrah Abraham continued on as a cast member. After Farrah Abraham’s sex tape, she claimed her son was getting bullied at school for being loosely associated with her.
