Chipper Jones Divorces Second Wife

Chipper Jones is single and apparently read to mingle.

Several weeks ago, the former Atlanta Braves third baseman (real name Larry Jones, Jr.) divorced his second wife, Sharon Logonov. He reportedly has a new girlfriend, which is really no surprise given his high status as a well-known retired pro athlete.

While he may be retired, he’s still a player.

According to the Busted Coverage website, Jones is dating Taylor Higgins, a former Playboy model then known as Lexi Ray or Lexi Ray Taylor.

Busted Coverage provides this assessment of the situation involving Chipper Jones and his new relationship:

“Good for Larry. The guy busted his ass over a 19-year career, turned 40 this year, got a little fat before Spring Training and decided it was time to upgrade in the chick department. The guy will be fine financially after paying off the second wife.”

Chipper Jones, who retired from professional baseball in 2012, earned $168 million over his 19-year MLB career.

A switch-hitter who spent his entire MLB career with the Braves, Chipper Jones has a lifetime .303 batting average with 468 home runs, 2,726 hits, and 1,623 RBI, the most runs batted in for a third basemen. To date, he is the only big league switch hitter to bat .300 and hit 400 or more more home runs. He is considered a lock for the Hall of Fame on the first ballot.
