‘Teen Mom 2’: MTV Finally Confirms That Briana DeJesus Has Joined The Cast
Teen Mom 2 is officially getting a new cast member. Briana DeJesus, whom fans will remember from her time on 16 and Pregnant as well as Teen Mom 3, will be featured on the show with Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, and Chelsea Houska when the series returns to MTV this summer.
According to Hollywood Life, MTV has finally confirmed that Briana DeJesus will be joining Teen Mom 2 in a special press release. The statement reveals that the series will return this summer and that Briana’s story will be featured.
Teen Mom 2 will return to MTV this summer for another intense season, but this time with a twist. For the first time in Teen Mom history, a new mom is on the scene. Briana, whose story began on 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom 3, will join Chelsea, Jenelle, Leah and Kailyn, sharing her story on Teen Mom 2. Since the cameras stopped rolling, Briana has juggled raising five-year-old Nova with help only from her mom and sister, while also trying to balance a career and new boyfriend, Luis. She finds herself unexpectedly pregnant with her second child and hopes for the best. But when she hears shocking news about Luis, she is forced to make one of the hardest decisions a mother can face, in order to provide the best life for her new child.”
The shocking cast addition was first reported in March. However, this is the first time that the network has confirmed Briana DeJesus’ inclusion into the Teen Mom 2 franchise. In addition to her MTV days, Briana also starred on VH1’s Family Therapy with her sister, Brittany. The two worked on their family issues while on the show and had one of the most emotional stories of the season when Brittany found out that she and Briana didn’t have the same father, and that her biological father had died when she was a baby.
Currently, Briana DeJesus is pregnant with her second child, another little girl whom she plans to name Stella. However, life doesn’t seem to have gotten any less complicated for the MTV star. As the statement reveals, Briana will be dealing with a whole new set of baby daddy issues this time around, as well as issues with her oldest daughter’s father. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Briana was chosen to join the cast in order to bring some more drama to the show, which already is a huge hit among viewers. However, the series is sure to be intense with the addition of DeJesus.
“Some of the girls are unreliable with filming, and others just are no longer bringing the drama viewers want to see. They needed someone to spice it up,” an insider told Radar Online.
Meanwhile, Teen Mom 2 fans will also see Kailyn Lowry struggle with her own baby daddy issues. As Kail and her ex-husband Javi Marroquin learn to co-parent together, the reality TV mom will reveal that she’s expecting her third child, and she’ll choose to keep his identity secret for a bit.
Jenelle Evans will also be struggling with parenting issues. Jenelle has been fighting her own mother, Barbara, for custody of her oldest son Jace for years. During the upcoming season, Jenelle and Barbara will finally get to see a judge in their custody case, but Jenelle may not get the results she was hoping for when it comes to getting Jace back for good.
