DeMario Jackson Heading To ‘Paradise’ After ‘Bachelorette’ Rachel Dumps Him: What About His Girlfriend Lexi?

When The Bachelorette contestant DeMario Jackson came face to face with his girlfriend, Lexi, last week, Rachel Lindsay made it clear that she’s not wasting her time with any guy who is not on the show for the right reasons. Fans saw Rachel send DeMario packing, but it won’t be the last time DeMario tries to find love on a reality TV show.

According to Reality Steve, DeMario is one of at least five of Rachel’s guys who will be joining the Bachelor in Paradise cast this summer. Although ABC has not confirmed the cast list, other than Raven Gates (Nick’s season), Steve states that filming begins this weekend and he expects that at least 30 contestants will be coming and going this season.

Spoiler alert: There are some Bachelorette Season 13 spoilers ahead, but the outcome of the final rose ceremony is not included.

Whether DeMario Jackson will be part of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 premiere cast or will arrive later in the season is still unknown, but Reality Steve seems to be confident that he will be on the show.

But what about his girlfriend, Lexi, the girl who showed up to tell Rachel that she and DeMario were an item? Is she truly an ex-girlfriend or was the whole thing some drummed-up drama that gave DeMario a shot at appearing on Bachelor in Paradise?

Fans aren’t buying the whole thing, with one of Reality Steve‘s followers commenting that the “whole thing was staged” and the conversation between DeMario, Lexi, and Rachel was “scripted and contrived.”

Considering the Bachelor franchise casting rules clearly state that they do background checks and don’t cast people who aren’t single, it’s likely that fans may be onto something. Even if Lexi and DeMario were dating prior to the show, it’s possible producers concocted the whole “still dating” scenario to get viewers talking.

“All applicants must be single. To qualify as ‘single’ the applicant must not currently be involved in a committed intimate relationship, which includes: any marital relationship (whether or not the parties are separated or currently in the process of divorcing or annulling such marriage); any co-habitation relationship involving physical intimacy; or a monogamous dating relationship more than two (2) months in duration.”

Whether DeMario was dating Lexi when he left to film the Bachelorette in March is true or not, producers will be capitalizing on the drama by adding him to the Bachelor in Paradise cast list.

According to Reality Steve, DeMario will join at least five guys from Rachel’s season who will be heading to Paradise this summer, including Brady Ervin, Alex Bordyukov, Dean Unglert, Jack Stone, and Matt Munson. Again, this has not been confirmed by ABC, but Steve’s spoilers have been spot-on on previous seasons of Bachelor in Paradise.

He goes on to say that there is a possibility that more of Rachel’s rejected guys could show up in Sayulita, Mexico, where Paradise is filmed. However, he is certain that DeMario Jackson and the five guys listed above will be there.

Other names on Steve’s list of possible Paradise contestants from Rachel’s season are Blake Elarbee, Kenny King, Iggy Rodriguez, Anthony Battle, Adam Gottschalk, and Lucas “Whaboom” Yancey.

How will the girls cast for this season react if Steve’s spoilers are correct and DeMario arrives in Paradise? Although there will undoubtedly be some negative chatter on social media, he may be able to redeem himself. After all, Nick Viall didn’t have the best reputation and turned things around when he arrived in Mexico last summer.

What do you think about DeMario getting a second chance after Rachel sent him home last week?

Watch the Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 premiere on August 8 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
