‘Teen Mom OG’ Maci Bookout Celebrates Kids’ Birthdays On Instagram
Maci Bookout is celebrating not one, but two birthdays this week.
As fans may recall, Maci Bookout welcomed her third child, son Maverick Reed, on May 31, 2016, just two days after her second child, daughter Jayde Carter, turned 1 year old. Now, one year later, the Teen Mom OG star is celebrating the first and second birthdays of her two youngest children.
“My babies are growing up!” Maci Bookout wrote in the caption of a photo shared on Instagram on May 29.
In the photo, Maci Bookout’s daughter Jayde was seen wearing a T-shirt, which read, “Two,” while her son Maverick wore the same style shirt with a message that read, “One.”
Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney share two children together, Jayde and Maverick, and the Teen Mom OG star also shares an older son, 8-year-old Bentley, with her ex-boyfriend Ryan Edwards. As fans may recall, Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney became engaged in January 2016 and tied the knot in October of last year surrounded by family members and friends in Tallahassee, Florida.
Maci Bookout began dating Taylor McKinney after Teen Mom came to an end amid Amber Portwood’s incarceration, and years later, the couple exposed their relationship to the MTV cameras in the series’ reboot, Teen Mom OG.

Maci Bookout also shared a second photo of her birthday babies on May 29, and in the photo, the children were seen enjoying a couple of cupcakes.
In the caption, Maci Bookout told fans, “Oh my heart.”
Maci Bookout has her hands full with three young children, but according to her social media posts and what fans have seen on Teen Mom OG, she wouldn’t have it any other way. That said, having two children back-to-back wasn’t exactly Bookout’s plan. In fact, the reality star was at the doctor to get birth control when she discovered she was pregnant with her third child just months after welcoming daughter Jayde.
As Maci Bookout recalled during an interview with Us Weekly last year, she didn’t initially believe her doctor when she told her she was pregnant.
“I laughed at her!” Bookout admitted. “I mean, she’s the doctor that delivered Jayde, so I was like, ‘Ha ha, that’s a funny joke — but it’s not really that funny!’ And she was like, ‘No, seriously!’ And I was like, ‘Oh, OK — well, give me 10 minutes to not freak out … You’re wrong. You’ve got the wrong results, you mixed them up.’ But no, she was serious!”
“Everyone is shocked,” she continued. “I mean, even we were completely speechless, and every time I shared the news with someone, I said, ‘OK, are you sitting down?’ And then I said, ‘Feel free to say ‘holy s**t’ or congratulations because both are fine.’ Because that’s pretty much how I’ve been the whole time!”

As for the possibility of adding even more children to her family, Maci Bookout has made it clear that she will not be having any more kids biologically.
“There are going to be some permanent birth control decisions made immediately after birth,” she told Us Weekly.
That said, Maci Bookout is open to the idea of adoption and recently spoke to People magazine about the idea of welcoming a fourth child into her family sometime in the future.
