Maci Bookout Gushes Over Kids On Instagram Amid Plans To Adopt
As the second half of the sixth season of Teen Mom OG airs on MTV, Maci Bookout continues to share updates on Instagram about her kids.
In one of her latest posts, Maci Bookout shared a video of her two-year-old daughter, Jayde Carter McKinney, wearing a make-shift lion mane and acting like the animal.
“I can’t even handle Jayde the Lion! Rawr!” Maci Bookout wrote in the caption of the photos.
Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney welcomed daughter Jayde, their first child together, on May 29, 2015. One year later, just months after announcing their engagement in January 2016, the couple welcomed their second child together, son Maverick Reed McKinney, on May 31.
After sharing her video of Jayde Carter, Maci Bookout returned to Instagram with a photo of her eight-year-old son, Bentley Edwards, with his baseball team.
“The Owlz doing their thing as usual!” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
Maci Bookout welcomed her first son, Bentley, with her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards, in 2008 as they filmed the first season of MTV’s 16 & Pregnant. Since then, the couple has chronicled their co-parenting relationship, which has had its ups and downs, on Teen Mom and Teen Mom OG. At the same time, the former couple has also shared their new relationships on the show.

Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney began dating years after she and Edwards split and in January 2016, they announced their engagement. Months later, in October 2016, the couple tied the knot in Florida surrounded by their friends and family, including Bookout’s ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards, and his now-fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer, who caught the bouquet during the ceremony.
Maci Bookout and her husband have a company called Things That Matter and online, the couple continues to promote the business, which sells a number of clothing items, including tank tops and T-shirts. Most recently, Maci Bookout took to Instagram to inform fans that one of her popular tank tops had been restocked.
“One of my favorites, the Women’s Logo Tanks in Black and Red are RESTOCKED! This design comes in sizes up to 2XL! WE WILL SELL OUT! Get yours now,” she wrote in the caption of her photo.
Taylor McKinney has been promoting the brand in recent social media posts as well.

In other Maci Bookout news, the mother of three is already considering the idea of adding another child to her family. However, according to an interview earlier this year with People magazine, the reality star won’t be conceiving any more children herself. Instead, she and Taylor McKinney are considering adopting a child.
According to Maci Bookout, being able to give a child the gift of an opportunity to grow up in a stable environment is something she’d like to do.
“If we are able to do that then why would we not?” she asked. “Plus, I think introducing our children to something like that and giving them that experience and for other child to be able to have a sibling or healthy relationships with other children … all kids deserve that. If we can give it to them then why wouldn’t we?”
Maci Bookout has been inspired by several people around her to adopt, including her Teen Mom OG co-stars, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra, who chose adoption for their first child in 2009.
