‘The Sinner’ Spoilers: New Teaser Released, Jessica Biel’s Character Takes ‘Longest Walk Of Her Life’
The Sinner does not premiere on USA network until this summer. However, there is already another new teaser clip out for the show. Jessica Biel is both executive producer and the star of the series, which is based on Petra Hammesfahr’s book. Find out everything that is known so far about the upcoming show and watch the new teaser clip.
Possible spoilers are ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what to expect.
The synopsis from the network’s official website states that The Sinner is about a young mother, Cora Tannetti (Biel), who commits a violent crime. What makes this show different is that viewers already know who the killer is and what she did. What the series will explore is why she committed such a horrible act.
“Starring and executive produced by Jessica Biel, The Sinner follows a young mother who, when overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage, commits a startling act of violence and to her horror, has no idea why. Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) finds himself obsessed with uncovering the woman’s buried motive. Together they travel a harrowing journey into the depths of her psyche and the violent secrets hidden in her past.”
Previously, a promo clip was released. It shows Cora on the beach. She is with other people, presumably her friends and/or family. While everyone else is having fun, she has a strange look on her face. She seems troubled by something and perhaps a bit confused. In the next scene, Cora is attacking another human being in front of everyone.
Today, a new teaser clip was released for The Sinner on the show’s official Facebook page. It doesn’t reveal much, but does tease that it is the “longest walk of her life.” Led away from the beach in handcuffs, Cora is wearing a blood-soaked white button-up shirt over her bikini.
More information about the TV show can be gathered from the first look clip. Even after her arrest, the suspect doesn’t seem to understand why she took another person’s life. With tears rolling down her face, all she can say is, “I’m sorry.”
Then, viewers get a glimpse into Cora’s life. It seems like she lives the life of a typical mother, doting on her child, who is eating in a high chair, kissing her husband, laughing in the car, and spending time with her family on the beach. Then, detectives begin asking her questions about the attack. Then, detectives begin asking her questions about the attack. Even though she doesn’t know why, Cora is aware that she killed a man by stabbing him in the neck. She claims to have no knowledge of who the victim was, saying she had never met him before that day. In a flashback, Cora is being held down on the sand after the murder with her arms thrashing around wildly.
Detective Harry Ambrose says it is an impulse killing, which is emotional in nature. However, things are not adding up for the detectives. It is teased that everyone has secrets, but what is Cora Tannetti hiding?
At the end of the first look trailer for The Sinner, Cora says that there is something wrong with her. Is there a psychological reason for the attack? Did she know the man and doesn’t want to say anything? Or did he just remind her of someone who hurt her a long time ago? Perhaps a memory she blocked out until it was triggered, either by the man’s appearance or behavior on the beach? Hopefully, the series will answer these questions.
What do you think of the new teaser clip for The Sinner? Are you looking forward to seeing Jessica Biel play Cora Tannetti? The show is scheduled to premiere on USA network on August 2.
