Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi Are Not Having Baby To Save Their Marriage [Debunked]

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s relationship is rumored to have hit the rocks, and the couple is reportedly thinking of having a baby to save their marriage. A rumor-busting site, however, says that there is no truth in the report that claims the couple has decided to have a baby to mend their marriage.

Portia de Rossi’s recent appearance at lunch with friends without wearing her wedding ring has set off the latest rumors about her and Ellen DeGeneres’ split. Yahoo Lifestyle reported that the 44-year-old actress looked “strained” and “upset” when she was spotted having lunch with friends. The report also claimed, citing Ok!, that the television host and Portia had been seen arguing in public, and Ellen DeGeneres’ staff had also witnessed their fights.

And to save their crumbling marriage, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were thinking of having a baby, Radar Online reported on Monday. The report quoted the couple’s friends as saying that the two had stopped fighting after agreeing that the arrival of a little one would help fix their miserable marriage.

They may be on the same page about having a baby, but they reportedly were unable to decide whether to have the baby via surrogacy or adoption.

A source said, “Ellen wants to adopt and Portia wants a surrogate.”

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, however, have not decided between surrogacy versus adoption. Radar Online reported that the couple, who got married in August of 2008, had decided to try both. Moreover, the report claimed that the two had started to design a nursery in their Beverly Hills home.

“They’re buying the crib and other furniture, toys and books to furnish the room, and they’re using gender-neutral colors.”

The 59-year-old TV host wants the baby to be a boy, while the former Scandal actress is hoping for a girl child, according to the report.

Meanwhile, rumor-busting site Gossip Cop is reporting that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are not having a baby to save their marriage. A source close to The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s host has called the report “fake,” according to the report. Earlier this month, the site also debunked the rumor that the two were on the verge of a split.

It is not the first time that tabloids have claimed Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were headed for splitsville and that to stop their marriage from crumbling, they were thinking of having a baby.

Recently, rumors were swirling that Rossi was feeling threatened because of DeGeneres and Drew Barrymore’s growing closeness. Some reports claimed that the Australian-American actress had become the third wheel in her own relationship.

Ellen DeGeneres has time and again slammed rumors about her and Portia de Rossi’s divorce. In September of 2015, while talking to Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show, she said that they “don’t almost break-up” and they “don’t fight as well,” adding that they were “madly” in love.

In October of last year, the popular television talk host told People that she knew that she was not going anywhere, and neither Rossi was going anywhere.

“Portia and I constantly say to each other, ‘We are so lucky.’ Sometimes it’s lying in bed at night before I go to sleep, and I just say thank you to whatever, whoever is out there. I’ve gotten to a place where I really am just settled. Really. I know that I’m not going anywhere. She’s not going anywhere. I’m not saying the relationship took a while; I’m saying in my life, it took a while to find this.”

On Friday, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were seen stepping out for dinner in West Hollywood. They did not look like a couple who were in a miserable marriage.
