‘Little People, Big World’ Divorce: Matt Roloff’s Girlfriend’s Ex Forbid Kids From Visiting Roloff Farms

Little People, Big World fans have been speculating about how long Matt Roloff and new girlfriend Caryn Chandler have been seeing each other since Matt officially announced their romance in a Facebook post in March.

Caryn, 49, is the longtime manager of Roloff Farms, and Radar Online reports some people have speculated she was involved with Matt, 55, before his divorce from Little People, Big World matriarch Amy Roloff in 2016.

“This is his farm manager, who has been on the show for years. Now we see why he pushed for divorce at the end! He already had someone! Moving on is fine, but this is tacky and obvious,” wrote one fan.

“The point is that something might have been going on–at least an emotional relationship–before the divorce. Many married men and women turn to their coworkers/assistants when having marital troubles and that person can look like a saint compared to the spouse,” wrote another.

Now Radar Online reports that Caryn’s ex-husband, Joseph Chandler, forbid the couple’s two children from visiting Roloff Farms without his permission when he negotiated a divorce settlement with Caryn back in 2012.

“Mother will not take [redacted] to her employer’s property without Father’s permission,” said divorce documents obtained by the outlet.

Further, the documents indicate that Caryn’s employment at Roloff Farms may have been such a contentious topic between her and Joseph that they were ordered not to discuss it in front of their children.

“Father and Mother shall be restrained and enjoined from making any derogatory comments about each other to, or in the presence of the children, as well as in their respective places of employment. In addition, both parties shall refrain from discussing the other parent’s employment with the children, and neither parent shall do anything that might jeopardize the other party’s employment.”

Finally, the documents make clear that the Chandler kids were not to be a part of Little People, Big World filming without the joint consent of both Joseph and Caryn.

“Neither party will allow the children to be filmed for television without the consent of the other party,” the papers stated.

Why Caryn’s employment at Roloff Farms was such a hot topic for the divorcing couple is not known, but her association with the property and the Little People, Big World television show was obviously the source of some discord long before Amy and Matt Roloff divorced and Matt made his relationship with Caryn public.

As for Amy Roloff, 52, she has been dating Portland real estate broker and former bachelor Chris Marek. However, she admitted in the season premiere of Little People, Big World that Matt’s relationship with Caryn rattled her.

“Caryn has been Matt’s personal assistant. Now that they’re dating, of course that’s hurtful.”

And Chris, 54, told Radar Online that he had been clueless about Matt and Caryn’s relationship until Matt let it slip and Amy felt “blindsided” by the revelation.

Since then, Amy and Chris have apparently been going strong. Over the weekend, Amy took to Instagram to post photos of Chris and of the couple enjoying a dinner together.

“Another wonderful evening Chris and I had,” she gushed. “@bethanstable I’m happy and we’re still doing great. So looking forward to more adventures we have planned together. #secondact #datingrelationship #adventuretogether #stilltogether #havingfuntogether.”

Meanwhile, despite their differences, Little People, Big World stars Amy and Matt Roloff have been unified in their excitement over becoming grandparents for the first time. As the Inquisitr previously reported,
Zach and Tori Roloff welcomed their son, Jackson, on May 12. Meanwhile, Zach’s twin brother, Jeremy, and his wife, Audrey, are expecting their first baby, a little girl, in September.

A new episode of Little People, Big World airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
