Jenelle Evans Shares Throwback Photo Of Jace On Twitter Ahead Of Custody Hearing, Teases ‘Teen Mom 2’ Spinoff
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is focused on her family as she prepares to face off with her mother, Barbara Evans, during their final custody hearing for Jace.
On Tuesday morning, May 23, one day before she and Barbara are set to battle in court, Jenelle Evans shared a cute photo of her 7-year-old son and called him her “little lion.”
In the photo, which the reality star and mother of three captioned with a heart-eyed emoji, Jace was seen wearing a lion hat and warm sweater.
Jenelle Evans’ mother was given custody of her oldest son shortly after his 2009 birth due to Evans’ inability to care for him herself. Since then, Barbara Evans has maintained full custody of the child and allowed Evans visitation.
As Jenelle Evans’ oldest son has remained with his grandmother, she has been expanding her family with two more children, 2-year-old Kaiser, whose father is her ex-fiancé, Nathan Griffith, and 4-month-old Ensley, whose dad is David Eason, Evans’ current fiancé.
While Jenelle Evans claims to be in a better place to care for Jace as she and Eason prepare for their fall 2017 wedding, Barbara Evans isn’t on board with giving her full custody and plans to fight for Jace during tomorrow’s hearing.

Also on Twitter this week, Jenelle Evans hinted at a spinoff series for the second time in recent weeks.
On May 23, after a fan tweeted to her about MTV following her home renovation projects, Jenelle Evans cryptically wrote, “Maaaaaybe.”
As fans may have noticed earlier this month, Jenelle Evans also said “maybe” to a fan who asked if she would soon be given her own Teen Mom 2 spinoff. She then quoted a tweet which read, “Omg this is a must have the Jenelle show!!!”
Jenelle Evans’ co-star, Kailyn Lowry, also recently spoke of a Teen Mom 2 spinoff, claiming that her new show is already in the works.

During an interview with E! News weeks ago, Jenelle Evans spoke about her role as a mother of three and admitted that having multiple children has its challenges.
“It’s pretty hectic!” Jenelle Evans said during the interview. “I get a lot of help [from fiancé] David [Eason] though. Having a 3-year-old and a newborn at the same time is the hardest part… Life is pretty complicated at the moment, but I love it and wouldn’t trade my role as ‘mom.'”
“I make sure that I get Jace every weekend and have Kaiser every other weekend,” she continued. “During that time, [Jace] is constantly around all the kids and family until he goes back to my mom’s on Sunday nights. I have also been trying to take family photos lately of everyone together. I don’t want anyone to feel excluded from our family.”
Jenelle Evans went on to gush over her soon-to-be-husband, who also has two older children of his own and revealed he treats her children amazing. She also said he is very hands on and isn’t afraid to change dirty diapers.
“He loves to make sure to tell them the importance of school, staying out of trouble, worrying about being a kid,” she said. “David also likes to make the kids go outside to play versus being stuck inside playing video games, which Jace absolutely loves to do.”
Jenelle Evans and her family are currently in production on the upcoming eighth season of Teen Mom 2. No word yet on whether or not her custody hearing will be filmed.
