Karrueche Tran Has ‘No Worries’ About Restraining Order Case Against Chris Brown

Karrueche Tran may be busy gearing up for the premiere of her new TNT series, Claws, but when the actress isn’t busy juggling her various acting and modeling projects, she’s gearing up for a headline-making legal battle against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who Tran alleges was physically abusive towards her during their longtime relationship.

In February, Tran filed for a temporary restraining order against Brown after revealing to a Los Angeles-based judge that the “Privacy” singer had displayed violent behavior against her, including kicking her down a flight of stairs, punching her in the stomach, and making general death threats against her and her family. While Karrueche was granted her temporary restraining order, The Bay actress has expressed her desire to extend her restraining order to include a permanent order against Breezy.

Despite Chris Brown’s efforts to speak out against Karrueche’s claims of physical assault, Tran is insistent that she’s prepared to testify in court in an effort to have her permanent restraining order against her former boyfriend instated.

According to a report by TMZ, sources close to Karrueche reveal that the actress isn’t fearful of testifying against Brown in the hopes that her efforts will inspire other women to speak out against those who brutalize them.

While Chris Brown has continually denied that he was served with legal documents relating to Karrueche Tran’s case, which reportedly occurred on the singer’s 28 birthday, Karrueche recently opened up to reporters about her confidence in moving forward with her legal battle against Brown.

During the Turner upfronts last week, Karrueche briefly spoke with reporters at Wetpaint to discuss her feelings regarding her upcoming legal battle with Chris Brown, which is reportedly scheduled to move forward later this month.

“Everything is good,” she told the site. “No worries at all. This is my focus right now.”

In addition, Tran revealed that she’s in a “happy place” in her life, noting that she’s happy to be working on a new television series despite having to stay busy promoting the series on her 29 birthday.

“I’m at a good, happy place in my life and couldn’t ask for anything better on my birthday than to be working at the upfronts with my cast and to be a part of this and TNT, so I’m okay,” Tran explained. “I don’t need any birthday gifts.”

While Karrueche and Chris Brown’s rescheduled court date has not been announced to the public, TMZ says that the duo is set to appear in court later this month, where Tran is expected to testify against the “Grass Ain’t Greener” singer.

The news comes just one week after Chris Brown shot down claims suggesting that Tran’s attorneys were finally able to serve him with legal documents relating to Karrueche’s restraining order, calling the reports a “super lie.”

After rumors surfaced suggesting that Chris was served with legal documents on his birthday, the singer took to Instagram to personally dispel the claims while taunting Tran with the message, “Try again.”

“Super lie. Try again,” Chris Brown wrote in response to a report by The Shade Room.

Similarly, after word of Tran’s plans to testify against Brown in court surfaced on social media, Chris took to the social media site once again to blast Karrueche while revealing that he has no plans to plead guilty to the charges against him despite the actress’ confidence that her legal case will be successful.

“I’m so sick of these thirsty adults. Jacob [York, Tran’s manager] has the obsession. Her team is trying their best. For what? No one has served me and the lengths they are going, I should call them stalkers,” Chris Brown wrote in response to a post shared by Baller Alert.

“I will not just accept papers from any lawyer and I will not go to court to admit guilt to further tarnish who I am,” Breezy continued, noting that he refuses to plead guilty to having assaulted Tran during their on-again, off-again relationship.

“I pled guilty in the Rihanna case because I was. I refuse to allow these evil hearted people to label me and lie because they think it will skyrocket their career,” Brown concluded. “Just stay away from me.”
