Harry Styles: No One Direction Songs On Tour — Hinders Possible 1D Comeback Amid Solo Career

Harry Styles’ solo career has kicked off to a good start, and it seems as if the success he’s achieved by himself has hindered chances of there ever being a One Direction reunion.

According to Hollywood Life, Harry Styles is in the midst of planning for his world tour, and these last few weeks have mainly been about finalizing songs that he plans to sing on stage — and to nobody’s surprise, One Directions songs have not made the list.

From what insiders have gathered, Harry Styles wants to embrace his solo career to the fullest, and going back to singing songs with One Direction would almost be taking two steps back from all the hard work he’s put in to put together his debut album.

Critics have called Harry Styles’ debut album a solid effort, and with tickets to the tour selling out within minutes, TIME claims, it’s no surprise that 23-year-old would want to focus his attention on nothing but making sure that he can sustain the amount of success he has had as a solo artist.

Of course, that has made fans question whether Harry Styles is hinting that there will never be a comeback with the group that made him famous, but as a source tells Hollywood Life, it’s too early to even assume such a thing.

It’s no secret that with Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson having gone solo, Harry would follow in those footsteps. With that said, everyone is working on their own projects now and it shouldn’t come as a shock for the group to distance themselves from anything related to One Direction.

Having toured the world together on several occasions, released multi-platinum selling albums and singles, each and every one of the former bandmates want to embark on their solo careers without linking it back to their time in One Direction.

“Harry is not planning on doing many or any One Direction songs during his tour,” one insider tells the celebrity news outlet. “One thing he would like to do is a cover of a Coldplay song,” the source said. “And the song he most likely would be doing is ‘Paradise’ since he loves that song, it’s one of his favorites that he would like to add to his set list.”

Tickets to Harry Styles’ upcoming tour sold out within minutes, according to reports, and because of the high demand to see the star live, his management is planning to add more dates in due time, it has been confirmed.

Harry Styles will be the first star from One Direction to embark on a world tour away from his former bandmates, and from what sources have gathered, the “Sign of the Times” singer is excited to bring his creative vision to life with songs that were mainly written by him.

It’s a completely different experience than touring with his 1D bandmates, so it’s understandable why One Direction won’t be part of the new solo career that Harry Styles is so destined to succeed in.

Amid news of Harry Styles heading out on tour and staying away from One Direction songs to perform live on stage, reports reveal that Zayn Malik will also be gearing up to release yet another body of work later this year, making it his sophomore record.

Zayn and Harry Styles haven’t spoken in well over a year, according to insiders, who say that Styles was devastated and hurt when Malik abruptly decided to quit the band in the midst of their world tour in 2015.

What do you make of Harry Styles’ solo plans? Do you think that staying away from One Direction songs is a wise idea?
