Adam Levine Gets Candid About His Relationship With His Fellow ‘The Voice’ Coaches

Adam Levine couldn’t stop gushing over Blake Shelton and his fellow coaches on The Voice when discussing his favorite thing about being on the show for the past 12 seasons.

Speaking out about what he loves most about being on the NBC show since it first began back in 2011, Levine recently admitted that it’s not the contestants or their performances that make up his most memorable moments but the relationships he’s made with his co-coaches over the past six years.

“The most memorable thing about having been on the show for so long is the friendships that I’ve forged and the people that I’ve gotten to know really well and been really lucky enough to get close with,” Levine said when asked about his most memorable moment of the past six years, per Hollywood Outbreak.

“Feeling like you have a community of people who do what you do and understand the life that you lead is a really comforting thing,” Levine continued, likely referring to his numerous co-coaches who have sat by his side season after season including mainstay coach Blake.

“I think that the coolest thing about The Voice for us,” Adam added, speaking on behalf of his fellow coaches, “is that we get to experience that all the time.”

Though Levine didn’t mention Shelton by name in the interview, it was pretty clear that Adam was gushing over his longtime co-coach who has sat by his side on The Voice ever since the show debuted back in 2011.

Adam’s sweet words about Blake and his fellow coaches also come just days after it was confirmed that both he and Shelton would be sticking around on the show for at least another year and two more seasons, despite rumors swirling that Levine and Shelton could have been ready to call their time at The Voice a day after Season 12 wraps this month.

NBC confirmed last week that Blake Shelton and Adam Levine aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, revealing that both Adam and Blake would be holding on to their red spinning chairs to be joined by Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson next season and Kelly Clarkson and another artist to be announced at a later date for The Voice Season 14 debuting in 2018.

Though Adam and Blake share a friendly banter and rivalry on the show, both coaches have made no secret of the fact that they’re actually great friends off camera and have gushed over each other and the bond they’ve formed while sitting alongside each other for the past 12 seasons multiple times in the past.

“I remember when I saw [Blake] at the meeting at NBC, I was instantly very taken by him because he was definitely not your typical country artist,” Levine told People of Shelton back in February.

“He was not a cookie-cutter guy, and the second we met, we were friends,” Levine continued, joking that “all of the bulls***” that fans see on The Voice when Adam and Blake display their friendly banter only ever “comes from a place of love.”

Shelton then continued to gush over Levine in the same interview earlier this year, referring to Adam as being one of his best friends.

“[Adam is] one of the most loving people I’ve ever known,” Shelton said of Levine. “We drive each other nuts, but outside of this world, he’s one of my best friends and it’s because of his heart. [Adam] needs his face slapped around, but he has a huge, huge heart.”

What do you think of Adam Levine’s sweet revelation that the close friendship he’s developed with his co-stars has been his favorite part of being a part of The Voice for the past 12 seasons?
