Nicki Minaj Slowed Down Sounds Like ‘Gay Jay-Z’ Says Reddit [Video]

We’ve already learned that one should be careful regarding what they say about singer and American Idol judge Nicki Minaj. In addition to her judging skills being thrown under the bus by former judge Steven Tyler (who got branded a racist for his opinions), a Redditor took it upon himself to mock her musical career by claiming that slowing down Minaj tracks makes her sound like, and I quote, a “gay Jay-Z.”

“Someone told me that if you slow down Nicki Minaj songs, she sounds like a gay version of Jay-Z,” joshlamb wrote on Reddit. “So I tried it and it’s TOTALLY TRUE.”

He is now taking requests for the project, dubbed “NICHOLAS MINJAY-Z,” and has already slowed down a number of Minaj’s tracks.

The results, this far, have been mixed:

“Well that’s essentially just autotuning it and that’s unfair since that’s how Nicki Minaj makes her music,” mocked one user.

“I get your joke, but it’s not the same thing at all,” opined another.

“Not a Nicki minaj fan, but these I find hilarious, I love them,” said one.

“But he doesn’t have the butt. You can’t hide that kind of trunk junk easily. Also, it’s quite hard to find a picture of Jay-Z’s butt online. He doesn’t seem to turn around much when cameras are present.” Now there’s the Reddit we know and love.
