It’s been close to six months since Jinger and Jeremy tied the knot. In the Duggar world, a pregnancy announcement usually follows shortly after the wedding. So, it’s not unreasonable to think that Jinger and her husband set up their Instagram and Twitter accounts so they would have a platform to tell the world that Jinger is pregnant.

After all, new episodes of the Duggar family’s show, Counting On, are not airing on TLC right now, so what better way to inform fans about a new Duggar baby than on social media?

Two of Jinger’s sisters, Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard, have used their social media accounts to update their followers with photos of their growing baby bumps when they were pregnant. Jessa recently tweeted that Jinger and Jeremy now have active Twitter and Instagram accounts. Was she giving fans the heads up because she knows her sister will soon be posting baby bump photos of her own?

Pregnant or not, Jinger seems to be doing things her way. The couple is doing things a bit differently than traditional Duggar couples. Jinger and Jeremy weren’t quick to jump on social media after her wedding and it’s totally possible that they aren’t rushing the baby-making thing. And then there’s the pants issue. Jinger’s pants, that is.

When Jeremy posted a photo of Jinger wearing pants on his Facebook page, many fans applauded her for dressing like a modern-day woman.

The typical wardrobe for Duggar women is very modest — long dresses or skirts and shirts that cover their shoulders and cleavage are the norm. Cosmopolitan shared quotes from Jinger and her sisters, Jana, Jill, and Jessa in their book, “Growing Up Duggar” that explain why they dress modestly.

“We realize that our body is a special gift from God and that He intends for it to be shared only with our future husband. We avoid low-cut, cleavage-showing, gaping, or bare-shouldered tops; and when needed, we wear an undershirt. We try to make it a habit to always cover the top of our shirt with our hand when we bend over. We don’t want to play the peekaboo game with our neckline.”

Oddly enough, pants aren’t on the modest list. Considering they cover legs completely, it could be because they aren’t feminine enough. Michelle Duggar once stated on the family’s blog that the girls all “grew up being dressed modestly and in clothes that are definitely more feminine apparel.”

Jinger seems to have no problem breaking away from the Duggar dress code now that she’s out of the house and married to Jeremy Vuolo.

Amidst all of the Jinger and Jeremy baby rumors, is it possible that the couple is going to also break from the norm and put off baby-making while they enjoy being newlyweds for awhile? After all, they got married on November 5 — just six months ago.

However, if Jinger is not pregnant yet, it’s not for lack of trying. Us Weekly recently shared a segment from Counting On that shows Jinger and Jeremy learning how to cook during their honeymoon in Australia.

When the chef asked Jeremy what he looked forward to about being married, the groom laughed and leaned into his new bride. Although he didn’t come out and say it, his smile hinted that sex was a pretty important part of their marriage. Considering that’s not allowed before a Duggar girl ties the knot, it’s understandable.

Do you think Jinger set up her Instagram account to announce that she’s pregnant or will the couple enjoy their new marriage for awhile before starting a family?
