Early last month, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said that the company was in talks with “dozens or hundreds” of content providers for Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox TV service , and now we know what the initial group of content providers will be.

In a post on Major Nelson’s blog, Microsoft announced that they’ve partnered up with nearly 40 content providers for the Xbox TV service, including Bravo, HBO GO, Verizon FiOS, SyFy and TMZ in the U.S., as well as BBC TV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 in the U.K., among others.
