Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez decided to meet up this weekend in New York City, presumably discussing their recently ended relationship.
The Justin Bieber Selena Gomez meet-up was somewhat spontaneous, MTV reported . Both happened to be in New York City over the weekend, Bieber for a show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Gomez to receive an honor from Glamour magazine. Sources say they both carved out a little bit of time to talk.
“I saw Selena go into the hotel around 5:40 p.m. and not even three hours later, Justin went in,” a source told Life & Style about the rumored get-together. “I saw him leave around 11 p.m.”
The Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez meet up came just a few days after the young couple officially announced their split. Though they publicly cited busy schedules, sources behind the scenes said that there was growing jealousy and that Selena may have only been staying in the relationship to help her standing .
The break-up rumors intensified when Justin Bieber was seen at a performance of The Lion King with Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin . Bieber insisted that he wasn’t involved with the 19-year-old Palvin, but Selena Gomez didn’t appear to be too pleased. She tweeted a photo of Bieber and Palvin together and included a caption that simply read “…”
Sources aren’t sure if the Justin Bieber Selena Gomez meet up means the young couple will be rekindling their relationship of nearly two years. When Justin took the stage in Boston on Saturday, he played the Justin Timberlake break-up song “Cry Me a River.”
