Veterans Day Brings With It Free Meals For Military Workers At Nationwide Restaurants


Veterans Day 2012 is the celebration of our country’s brave men and women who currently serve or served with no regard for their own lives. While thanking every single vet or currently serving member of the military personally would be impossible, nationwide restaurant chains are trying their best. From Applebee’s to Sizzler, chains across the country are offering free meals on Sunday and even some on Monday to military members who show their military identification.

According to the Army Times, the free food extends everywhere from a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme to a free steak dinner at Sizzler.

Here is the good starting list of Army Times quoted restaurants currently giving up their food for free on Veterans Day:

Sunday, November 11, 2012

*Krispy Kreme will hand out free doughnuts (and free small coffee) to vets on November 11.

*Applebee’s: Free Applebee’s Signature Entree on November 11.

*Olive Garden: Free entree on November 11.

*Chili’s: Fee meal, Sunday, November 11. Chili’s is offering a choice of one of 7 meals. This offer is available from 11 am to 5 pm at participating restaurants.

*Famous Dave’s: Free Two Meat Salute. choose two different meats served with a Corn Bread Muffin and your choice of one side on November 11.

*Red Lobster: Free appetizer on Veterans Day with military ID or proof of service. Vets may choose from a select list of appetizers on November 11.

Monday, November 12, 2012

*Denny’s: all-you-can-eat pancakes to vets on November 12.

*Champps Americana Restaurant: Free cheeseburger and fries on November 12.

*Friendly’s: Free breakfast and coffee on November 12.

*Golden Corral: Free dinner between 4 pm and 9 pm. on November 12.

* Hooters: 10 free boneless wings with the purchase of a drink on November 12.

*Sizzler: Free lunch on November 12. (Choose from 6 ounce steak, Malibu chicken, or half dozen fried shrimp.)

Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12, 2012

*California Pizza Kitchen: Free pizza and drink on November 11 and 12.

* Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin’ Onion appetizer and drink on November 11 and 12.

* UNO: Free entree or individual pizza with an entree or pizza of equal or greater value on November 11 and 12.

*On the Border: Free entree meal certificate for up to $10 on November 12. This offer will include donating 15 percent of the purchase to Carry the Load if you mention this special.
