Randy Orton has not held a WWE World title since 2013 and last won a Royal Rumble match in 2009. Both men have been featured in main events, but neither has been pushed this strongly in a few years during Wrestlemania season. The question is if WWE is planning Cena vs. Orton because it’s the safe bet.

The assumption is Bray Wyatt will be winning the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber in two weeks, which will most likely make the WWE Universe forgive a lot of the booking for the WWE Royal Rumble. However, that won’t happen for another two weeks, which leaves some time for WWE officials to potentially change their minds about Wyatt’s push and Cena vs. Orton may be the backup plan for Orlando.
