Coincidence? E! News thinks not. The news outlet notes the correlation between Khloe Kardashian’s revealing outfit and the return to strong ratings for the Fox hit show, which is back this season with judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.
Thanks possibly to Khloe Kardashian’s outfit, X Factor finished top in the coveted 18-49 demographic, helping Fox win the night overall. Overall, the audience for X Factor jumped 30 percent with Wednesday’s episode.
Even judge Simon Cowell noted Khloe Kardashian’s braless outfit, calling it “distracting.” The Halloween episode of the show was the first time that judges Demi Lovato and Britney Spears appeared live alongside hosts Khloe and Mario Lopez.
As the New York Daily News noted, Khloe Kardashian had a surprisingly good hosting debut on the show. She showed a bit of moxy in a testy exchange with her off-screen friend, Demi Lovato. When Demi tried to pass off Khloe’s questions about how one of the performing groups could improve, the Kardashian pushed back.
“I want to know,” Khloe pressed, “and I think they should know how to work better together.”
“I think they should all figure out,” Lovato started before slamming her fist on the table. “You,” she then said, pointing to contestant at Camilla Cabello as she shot Khloe an angry glare.
After weeks of speculation and then few more weeks of contract negotiations, Khloe Kardashian was officially named as one of the hosts of X Factor in October. Her friendship with Demi Lovato reportedly helped tip the scales in her favor.
The ratings win is especially important for Khloe Kardashian as she tries to step outside the shadow of her television Kardashian empire. To many viewers she is known primarily as the famous sister of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and wife to NBA player Lamar Odom, and the hosting duties give her a chance to prove she is not one-dimensional.
