Christy Carlson Romano Gives Birth To First Child, Baby Girl Isabella
Christy Carlson Romano gave birth to her first baby, a daughter named Isabella, on Christmas Eve. Isabella is the first child for Romano’s husband, Brendan Rooney, as well.
“Brendan and I are more than thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Isabella, on December 24th at approximately 4 p.m.,” Romano wrote in a Facebook post, according to E! News. “Merry Christmas everyone!”
At the 100th Disney Channel Original Movie premiere for Adventures in Babysitting this past June, Romano confirmed that she was going to have a baby and told E! News that the due date was near Christmas.
“My husband and I are expecting our first child,” she said at the time. “So it seemed only appropriate that I would come back and celebrate with Disney, DCOM style.”
“December 25! Our due date is on Christmas,” Romano added. “If anyone knows me, I’m obsessed with Christmas. I also have two Christmas movies coming out around the same time, so it’s going to be a very Christy Christmas.”
Romano recently posted several pictures to Instagram showing off her very big baby bump.
Just a week ago, she posted a pic of her grocery shopping on a motorized scooter because it had become too difficult to walk and she was already starting to dilate.
“When you wanna get your holiday shop on but you’re 2cm dialated [sic],” Romano wrote, throwing on a bunch of hashtags.
Christy Carlson Romano made her television debut in the early 2000s playing roles in various Disney Channel productions. She is best know for her role in the TV series Even Stevens from 2000 to 2003, and as the voice of the title character Kim Possible in the Kim Possible animated movies. She recently appeared in two Christmas movies, Christmas All Over Again (2016) and Christmas with the Andersons (2016), and is slated to appear in House Rules, which is currently in post-production.
In addition to acting, Romano also sings for soundtracks and has published a young adult novel, Grace’s Turn. She has contributed songs to over a dozen soundtracks, according to her IMDB profile. Grace’s Turn was published by Hyperion in 2006. The novel tells the story of two adolescent girls and their attempt to make it into the school’s A-list of popular kids.
Romano’s husband, Brendan Rooney, is an actor, producer, and writer. He has appeared in the films Prism (2015) and Argo (2012). He also wrote and produced Prism.
He was a writer for Christmas All Over Again, one of the Christmas films Romano recently appeared in.
In addition to making headlines for her acting, and for giving birth to her new baby girl, Romano has attracted attention for some political statements in the past as well.

In February of 2015, the couple shared pics and video of Romano wearing lingerie on the balcony of their Brooklyn apartment as a personal protest to the success of the film Fifty Shades of Grey. Romano is seen holding up a sign with “#consent” written across in the picture and video.
The balcony protest was ultimately the result of Romano losing a bet with Rooney over the film.
“I told [Brendan] how terrible it was and how I had major issues with the film, mostly the consent issue and I couldn’t wait to watch it fall off the next box office weekend. Then he laughed and told me he knew it was going to stink but that I shouldn’t get my hopes up because it was definitely going to win the box office this weekend,” Romano explains in the video, as quoted by Us Weekly.
Christy Carlson Romano had a valid criticism of Fifty Shades of Grey, but now we think everyone is ready for her and Brendan Rooney to share some pics of them together with their new baby.
