Justin Bieber Not Worried That Cruz Beckham Will ‘Steal’ His Popstar Crown

A report has emerged that Justin Bieber is jealous of Cruz Beckham for he might steal the Canadian crooner’s crown. The latest edition of Life & Style alleges that Justin’s manager is urging him to take Cruz under his wing — an idea Justin does not fancy.

“When Scooter Braun discovered Justin Bieber singing on YouTube at age 12 and signed on as his manager, one of his first moves was getting Usher to mentor him. So now that Scooter has signed Cruz Beckham, the youngest son of David and Victoria, he’s hoping the Biebs will pay it forward and take the 11-year-old under his wing. But Justin’s not having it.”

The magazine’s insider added that Justin feels threatened by his manager’s new prospect, because he might “steal his thunder,” especially after Cruz’s cover of Justin’s “Home to Mama” garnered more than a million views on Instagram.

“Justin wants to keep his pop-star crown. The last thing he needs is a super-talented rival,” further claimed the source. However, the story has been debunked by Gossip Cop. The “Sorry” singer has reportedly no reason to feel threatened because he and Cruz have different audiences. Many of Justin’s fans have already grown up, like him, while Cruz’s music mostly appeals to a younger audience.

The “What Do You Mean” hit maker has similarly expressed his support for Cruz’s craft several times. Earlier this month, he lauded Cruz on Twitter for his single which benefitted a charity. “Love seeing my little guy raising money for the kids. Congrats Cruz. Nice one,” he wrote. Last month, he also shared Cruz’s “Home to Mama” cover on his account and wrote, “Young Cruz! Great job buddy.”

All proceeds from Cruz’s Christmas single, “If Every Day Was Christmas,” will go to the Make Some Noise charity which helps children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Even if David and Victoria have been accused by Good Morning Britain’s host Piers Morgan of “exploiting” Cruz for their own gain, the parents maintain that they are merely proud of the youngster’s accomplishments.

The former football captain told Good Morning America via the Independent that Cruz is still focused on his academics and his purpose for releasing the song was to raise funds for charity.

“There’s nothing more to this than that at the moment. He’s 11-years-old, he’s still at school, he’s still concentrating at school, that’s the most important thing but he wanted to give back. He’s done this amazing little Christmas song which has got a lot of attention and we’re very proud of him because he came to us with the idea. It’s kinda cool and he’s having fun.”

The Beckhams seem to enjoy Cruz’s single. David even lip-synced his son’s song. Cruz shared the candid clip on Instagram and captioned it, “When your dad embarrasses you.” The UNICEF ambassador simply laughed at his son’s reaction.

For Christmas, Cruz received a Gibson guitar which he described as the “best present ever.”

Despite being attached to a famous last name in the industry, David and Victoria’s children are making their marks using their talents. Brooklyn is set to release his first photography book next year entitled “What I See.”

The book will feature many snapshots of the teenager’s life. Publishing house Penguin described “What I See” as a book containing pictures with captions written by Brooklyn himself. In an interview with Vogue via People, Brooklyn said that he fell in love with photography in high school.

Romeo, on the other hand, worked several times for Burberry’s campaigns as a model. It is interesting to see what Harper will unveil as she grows up.
