Kylie Jenner’s App And Website Get A Much Needed Makeover

Kylie Jenner rolled out a new theme for both her app and website this past week, giving the platforms a much needed update. The 19-year-old changed from a black and teal theme to a white one with lettering that resembles the font on her recently launched apparel. Similar to that of the lettering on sweatshirts and her sports set, the website and app font features the block-like style.

Now, all of Kylie’s properties— her app, website, and Kylie Jenner Shop— are in line with the same themes. Since launching her app in September 2015, this was the first real makeover Jenner gave to her site, making it seem fresh and edgy as she releases new merch alongside it.

The Daily Mail reported on the one year anniversary of Kylie’s app, saying she celebrated with listing the most popular posts. One of the posts was her sexy photoshoot with Sasha Samsonova, who Kylie says she loves working with.

“This photo shoot was the first time I worked with Sasha Samsonova, and they’re still some of my favorite pictures. A year later, we’ve done SO many collaborations, like the promo photos for the Kendall + Kylie swimwear line and for my KyMajesty + Dead of Knight shoot.”

Since launching her app last year, Kylie has gone on to launch many more surprises. She recently announced the launch of the Kylie Jenner Shop, which offers panties, socks, phone cases, shirts, and bras. Jenner also offered these products at her temporary pop-up shop in Canoga Park, Calif., which was visited by thousands of excited fans. Despite being a very busy mogul, Kylie took the time to redesign her app and detailed the changes in a post.

Jenner said the redesign was part of a holiday gift for her fans and subscribers, and is just one of many surprises coming to the site.

“I have an early holiday present for you guys… my app is getting a total redesign!!!”

She said more new features will be coming soon following the design update.

“Once you update your app, you’ll notice we already changed the color palette, updated my logo and amped up the design direction—and that’s just the beginning. In the coming months, we’ll be adding all kinds of cool new features that I’m really excited about. I can’t wait for you to see what I’ve been working on!”

While this is the first time Kylie changed the design of her app, it’s not the first time she’s updated it. She, as well as her sisters, all added several features to their apps several months back. These features included a way for subscribers to save their favorite posts, post them on Twitter and Facebook, or send them via email. Kim Kardashian also recently redesigned her app, giving it a Kimoji vibe.

If there’s one thing the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are great at, it’s keeping their fans interested and coming back for more. Kylie’s new app design and merch launch generated a lot of attention for the young entrepreneur. Almost all of the items on her Kylie Jenner Shop website sold out the first day, and again following the first restock. It seems fans can’t get enough of the youngest Kardashian-Jenner.

Kim saw similar success as she followed Kylie’s footsteps and launched new Kimoji merch after first generating excitement through Instagram. Teen Vogue covered the Kimoji Instagram and merch lauch, saying the family sure knows how to keep people buying their products.

“If there’s any family who knows how to capitalize on the value of their name to make some serious paper, it’s the Kardashians.”

While Kylie is reaping the financial benefits of her name, she is also dedicating time and energy to keeping things fresh and updated for fans. Fans will be eagerly watching to see what else the teen has in store her app in the new year.
