HGTV’s ‘Property Brothers’ Star, Drew Scott, Gets Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend

An HGTV wedding is on the horizon as Drew Scott, star of Property Brothers, recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend.

Some HGTV fans may be a little heartbroken to learn that half of the Property Brothers duo is now officially off of the market. Drew Scott proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Linda Phan, while they were having a meal at Toronto’s Piano restaurant.

Per People, who first reported the Property Brothers engagement, Drew Scott made great strides to surprise his girlfriend. He told People he had to be “stealthy as a ninja” in order to surprise her.

Drew Scott had been carrying the ring around with him for several weeks before finally popping the question. He proposed to his longtime girlfriend during dinner while a version of him singing “Marry Me” by Train played in the background.

The staff at the restaurant presented the couple with a cake that had been decorated as one of his longtime girlfriend’s favorite Dr. Seuss’s books. Inspired by the book Oh the Places You’ll Go, the cake read “Oh the Places We’ll Go.”

Drew Scott and Linda Phan continued to celebrate with a surprise engagement party that his girlfriend had originally believed was a holiday party that Scott Brothers Entertainment was throwing. The parents of Drew Scott and Linda Phan, in addition Drew’s brothers – which included Jonathan, the other Property Brother, and J.D. – were among some of the guests at the engagement party.

Drew Scott originally met Linda back in 2010 at the Toronto Fashion Week event. The two had been happily dating for six years before the Property Brothers star finally popped the question.

Property Brothers Drew Scott isn’t the only HGTV star with his relationship currently splashed all over the media. Tarek and Christina El Moussa of Flip or Flop have also been in the headlines recently. Unfortunately, their reason for the spotlight and attention is not nearly as happy as Drew Scott.

Tarek and Christina El Moussa Made Headlines Recently, Too

Per the Inquisitr, Tarek and Christina El Moussa went public with their separation earlier this week. The two reassured HGTV fans that Flip or Flop would not be canceled as a result of the separation and that the two had no intention of getting a divorce. The HGTV stars have also claimed they want to work on their marriage for the sake of the children. They have, however, been dating other people in the eight months they have been separated.

While Property Brothers’ Drew Scott getting engaged and eventually married will likely have little impact on whether or not the HGTV show continues, it made sense for fans to panic when Tarek and Christina El Moussa announced the separation. As many Flip or Flop fans would agree, part of the charm of the HGTV show is the loving couple and parents that Tarek and Christina El Moussa appear to be on the screen.

Are you excited there will be an HGTV wedding in the near future, or does it make you sad to know Property Brothers star Drew Scott is no longer on the market? What about the Flip or Flop couple?
