Sheriff Joe Arpaio Concludes '9 Points of Forgery' Found On President Obama's Birth Certificate

Donald Trump has long given up his battle to prove that President Barack Obama's birth certificate was faked, so why has Sheriff Joe Arpaio kept at it for so long? Sheriff Arpaio has been nothing if not tenacious with his prolonged investigation and has concluded that nine points of forgery have been found on Obama's birth certificate.

ABC News Arizona has reported that Chief Investigator Mike Zullo And Sheriff Joe Arpaio have just ended their five-year investigation into the matter of Obama's birth certificate and said during a press conference on Thursday that they had found fresh evidence to back up their claims, which includes "forensic analysis showing the characters on the document were pieced together from secondary sources." Zullo also appeared critical of those who had suggested he was wasting his time with this battle.

"We and anyone else who dared to question the document have been maligned, falsely labeled and grossly criticized."

It is important to note that the 1961 birth certificate of President Obama that the pair has been investigating is the certificate that was released in 2011 by the White House. Investigator Zullo believes that this document is false and that Obama's birth information was cut and pasted onto another's birth certificate. Further, he concluded that Obama's birth certificate was sourced from an original birth certificate that actually belongs to an individual named Johana Ah'nee.

Many people have questioned why Sheriff Joe Arpaio has remained so persistent in his efforts to prove that Obama's birth certificate was faked. He has said that he doesn't so much take issue with where President Obama was actually born, but with the fact that he would present a fraudulent document to the public.

"My concern was not where the president was born, but whether the document presented to the people was a fraud."
Mike Zullo has stated that the actual reason that their investigation continued for five years was to clear President Obama in this matter, but the pair has now concluded that Obama's birth certificate was faked.
"All we have ever wanted was the truth in this matter, with the great hope that the document was indeed a valid representation of an original document. But we had to follow the evidence. We let the evidence determine the direction of the investigation. It is what we always do in any legitimate investigation. This one was handled no differently."

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's original investigation into the matter of Obama's birth certificate began in August 2011, which would have been months after the White House website put up an image of the document, as USA Today reports. At the start of the Sheriff's investigation, he had mainly retired volunteers working on the case for him on a team known as the Cold Case Posse.

In early 2012, Zullo held a press conference in which he explained the inconsistencies and irregularities of Obama's birth certificate to the media. At this time, there was no mention of it being a fake. Then in July 2012, there was a similar press conference after a 10-day visit to Hawaii to gather fresh evidence. Investigators were alleged to have discovered a 95-year-old woman who was thought to have put coding onto President Obama's birth certificate.

What does our president think of these new developments? We will let President Obama have the last word on the subject. After Donald Trump announced his intention in September to drop the birth certificate issue, Obama joked that the subject had been one of the most pressing challenges of his entire career.

"I don't know about you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole birther thing is over. I mean, ISIL, North Korea, poverty, climate change. None of those things weighed on my mind like the validity of my birth certificate."
Are you happy that Zullo and Arpaio carried on with their investigation or do you think that they should have dropped the matter of Obama's birth certificate a long time ago?
