The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks have developed a healthy rivalry over the past few years and are set to renew that rivalry again this week. Both teams are in the middle of the hunt for the playoffs, although the Packers have a much bigger need for the win than Seattle does.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have won two straight games and have worked their way back to 6-6 on the season. They have a long way to go to make the playoffs but are certainly still a legitimate contender. If their defense can step up, the sky is the limit for the Packers throughout the remainder of the season.
Seattle, on the other hand, holds an 8-3-1 record and are one of the favorites in the NFC. They will have to deal with the Dallas Cowboys, but their defense is one of the most dominant in the league. Pete Carroll has to be happy with his team this season and confident heading into this week’s game.
Needless to say, this is a game that you won’t want to miss. It could be the difference between making the playoffs or sitting on the couch for the Packers. Seattle is looking to keep up with the Cowboys, who have been red hot all season long behind rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
All of that being said, what bold predictions can be made for the Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks this week?
Aaron Rodgers Totals 350 Yards, Four Touchdowns
Green Bay has seen Aaron Rodgers take his game to a new level over the last few weeks. They will need him to do just that once again this week. Rodgers will rise to the occasion with 350 total yards to go along with four touchdowns in the game.
Thomas Rawls Rushes for 100 Yards, Two Touchdowns
Even though the Packers have had a solid run defense this season, Thomas Rawls will still have a big game. He will rush for 100 yards and two touchdowns this week. After a strong showing last week against the Carolina Panthers, Rawls will once again show that he is a capable replacement for Marshawn Lynch.
Green Bay’s Defense Will Force Three Turnovers
While the Packers’ defense has given up many big plays, they are still capable of making plays. Russell Wilson will find that out this week, and the Packers will force three turnovers. Green Bay’s defense has to step up this week if they want to pull off a win.
Seattle Sacks Aaron Rodgers Five Times
Seattle’s defense has been able to disrupt offenses nearly every week, and that will happen again this week. They will get to Aaron Rodgers five times throughout the course of the game. Green Bay’s offensive line has some issues, and they will show in a big way this week.
The Green Bay Packers Stay in the Playoff Race with a Win
Green Bay has to come up with a win this week to stay in the playoff race. It won’t be an easy win, but they will find a way to come up with it. Seattle will put up a tough fight, but the Packers will win when everything is said and done.
Expect to see this game come down to the final few possessions of the game. Both teams are going to leave everything they have on the field, but the Packers have desperation behind them. Rodgers and company will defend Lambeau Field and move to 7-6 on the season with the win.
