NY Senate Democrats Office Manager Gives New Meaning To The Term ‘Swing’ State

A New York State Senate Democrats office manager has reportedly been moonlighting as an erotic dance events business for swingers. Janis and Carlos Gonzalez are the son and daughter-in-law of convicted former Bronx State Senator, Efrain Gonzales. The couple started the Capital District Couples Network website to offer an alternative to strip and sex clubs, according to the New York Daily News.

The pair gained notoriety as their holiday party for swingers garnered a lot of attention by erotic couples in the New York area. The swingers Halloween party will take place at the Albany hotel near the state capitol on November 3.

Janis Gonzales reportedly makes $45,000 a year in her position in the New York Senate Democrat press office. She once ran for office in a local Albany race. Carlos was a former staffer in the office as well. His father plead guilty to stealing from nonprofit groups to cover personal expenses in 2009. The former Bronx politician was sentenced to seven years in prison.

Carlos Gonzalez had this to say about the swingers lifestyle website:

“Why is it different? Because of the fact that there may or may not be people who are into some kind of swinging lifestyle who are coming to it. Most people who come to our dance events like to see the girls get close to each other. It’s a little risqué. It’s a little hot. It’s erotic.”

The Halloween swingers party follows the same premise as most erotic lifestyle gatherings. The New York event is geared to attract couples – but single women are also allowed. The blossoming swingers events company is entirely legal and apparently caters to a vast and largely professional clientele. Senate democratic spokesman Mike Murphy has not offered a comment on his staffer’s side-business.
