Rihanna is no stranger to gifting pieces from her various fashion collaborations to fellow celebrity friends, including the likes of Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, and Naomi Campbell to name a few, and it looks like “Lifted” singer CL has become the latest celeb to receive a special gift and handwritten note from Rih just in time for the holidays.
The Korean pop star and former 2NE1 songstress took to Instagram on Friday to gush over the luxurious pair of “Fallon” boots that she received from Rihanna and her latest collaboration with Manolo Blahnik, including a photo of a handwritten note from the “Needed Me” songstress in which she refers to CL as one of the “flyest women I know.”
“CL, I’m so excited about my new collaboration with The Godfather of Shoes Mr. Manolo Blahnik!” Rihanna explained in her note.
“I wanted to gift them to the flyest women I know. Love, RiRi.”
“+Big *heart emoji* to the ultimate Unnie @badgalriri,” CL began in the caption of her post before thanking Rihanna for her new chic pair of brown suede lace-up ankle boots complete with a fur trim.
“Thank you always for spoiling me with all the amazing gifts this one is *fire emoji*+.”
It didn’t take long for fans to begin gushing over Rihanna and CL’s friendship and mutual love for fashion, with some fans even taking to the comment section of CL’s photo to begin begging for a musical collaboration between the two songstresses in honor of CL’s impending solo album.

“The Fallon” is one of three boot styles that Rihanna unveiled as a part of her second collaboration with legendary shoe designer Manolo Blahnik last month, providing fans and fashionistas alike with a fresh new set of kicks to rock for the chillier months after dropping her “Denim Desserts” collection back in May.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Rihanna drew inspiration for her “Savage” collection from the classic Timberland work boot, albeit adding a feminine flair to the new collection with the assistance of a chic stiletto heel and furry trim to each of the boots which are currently available in a variety of neutral-toned colorways and fabrics.
While CL may be busy gushing over the pricey pair of boots from Rihanna, which currently retails on Manolo Blahnik’s official website for $1,345, it’s no surprise that fans and celebrities alike are eager to get their hands on a pair of kicks designed by Rihanna as the songstress recently became the first woman to win the coveted Shoe of the Year award during this year’s Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York earlier this week.
Rihanna, who has also collaborated with other labels such as Puma, River Island, and Stance Socks, took home the prestigious award for her highly buzzed about Fenty Puma Creepers on Tuesday evening while gushing over the support and love she’s received from fans in response to her casual athletic wear collab with the German apparel company.

“I didn’t expect people to love it the way I do, and the way they’ve supported it means so much to me,” Rihanna explained in her acceptance speech while donning an all-black ensemble complete with a pair of her award-winning Fenty Puma Creepers, Forbes reports.
While Rihanna may have already snagged an award for her beloved Creeper design, the songstress also recently announced that she will be dropping the final round of her Fenty by Puma Creepers collection on December 8 complete with three new velvet colorways just in time for the holiday season.
What do you think of Rihanna’s luxurious gift to CL? Are you a fan of Rihanna’s “Savage” Manolo Blahnik collection?
