‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Scheana Shay Denies Popping Pills To Lose 25 Pounds
Scheana Marie Shay has undergone an incredible body transformation this year. The Vanderpump Rules star has lost some 25 pounds over the past few months and is looking thinner than ever. But did she use diet pills to lose the extra pounds?
According to Reality Tea, Shay is an official spokeswoman for Hydroxycut. As fans are well aware, Shay frequently posts images of herself promoting the company on social media. The images led to rumors about Shay’s diet pill use, with many fans suspecting she had unnatural help along the way.
Despite her ties to the diet pill industry, the reality star denies using pills to shed weight. Instead, Shay claims that dieting and working out were the sources of her success.
“Natural, right way to do it: diet and exercise,” the SUR waitress shared. “No pills, no gimmicks, no anything. I got on a meal plan; I worked out with a personal trainer, six days a week, for several months.”
Indeed, Shay documents her workouts on social media, so it’s not that far of a stretch to believe she lost weight through hard work. Of course, with her being heavily involved with Hydroxycut, it’s hard to believe she didn’t use pills to assist in the weight loss.
To further clarify the matter, Shay recently revealed that Hydroxycut reached out to her after she dropped the pounds. She now uses the supplements for energy boosts and to keep the weight off.
“I’m not a liar. But, it is a product that keeps me very energized,” she stated. “I did not take this to shed the initial fat.”
Even still, Shay’s confessions haven’t stopped fans from slamming her on social media. Reality Tea reports that fans have been fat shaming the Vanderpump Rules star ever since she started sharing pics of her new body online.
In a recent post, Shay shared a photo of herself sitting next to a bottle of Hydroxycut. “Getting some stretching in before my workout today! Want to take your workouts to the max? Grab some of this stuff… @hydroxycut,” she captioned the image.
Shay later added that she was “addressing you haterzzzzzz,” so she is clearly aware of all the hate. Of course, that didn’t stop fans from chiming in about Shay’s endorsement.
“Holy s**t ur teeeeeeny! Don’t lose anymore or u will literally disappear! U must be a size 0!” one fan wrote.
“Sorry!! Not a hater at all but you looked stunning and voluptuous before!! Thought you were beautiful!! Way too skinny now!” a fan shared, while another wrote, “I don’t think you need to take that, your [sic] already sick skinny.”
According to Too Fab, the Vanderpump Rules star quickly responded to the haters by sharing an older photo of her and her husband, Michael Shay, in swimming attire. “Who wants to body shame me some more!? GO!” she wrote alongside the pic.
While Shay looks like she has lost a ton of weight, she told fans that she has maintained the same weight for over 10 years. She also expressed her dismay at never being able to please fans, who criticize her if she’s too skinny or too fat.
“I’m at the same weight I was for over 10 years before I put on unhealthy weight. Think before you speak,” she said. “When I got married I was too fat in my dress [with] my ‘back fat’ and all. And now I’m too skinny. I can never win lol. That’s why I do me. I feel the best I’ve felt in years!!!”
The skinny shaming couldn’t have come at a worse time for the reality star. Blasting News is reporting that Shay and her husband are in the middle of a huge breakup that might end with divorce.
The couple has been quiet about their future ever since Michael went missing a few weeks back. Michael disappeared for an entire week, which sparked speculation that he had reverted to his old drug-using ways.
Michael denies falling off the wagon, and Radar Online is reporting that the drama will play out next season. In fact, production for the upcoming season has already begun, and the pair is ready to discuss their future.
“They’ve finally chatted and they’ll be having some very necessary discussions over time to figure out what their path may be forward,” an insider revealed. “There’s no plan for them to be living together again indefinitely. But that could change. A lot is up in the air right now.”
Shay tied the knot with Michael back in 2014. Their marriage hit a few rough patches in Season 4 as Michael struggled to get his drug use under control.
“We’re not commenting on her personal life at this time, but it will play out on the upcoming season,” Shay’s rep explained.
Fans can watch all the drama unfold when Season 5 of Vanderpump Rules airs Monday nights on Bravo.
