In the wake of her triumphant comeback at the American Music Awards, Selena Gomez is attracting attention with her first post-rehab interview. The “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” singer is serving up the secrets to everything from her glowing skin to her health amid rumors regarding both her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber and pal Niall Horan.
Hollywood Life summed up Selena’s and Niall’s reunion at the AMAs as the “cutest ever.” The 24-year-old songstress and Horan “looked so happy to see each other,” according to the media outlet.
The pop princess and Niall were spotted in a “sweet hug,” with Horan appearing “so happy” to be embraced by Bieber’s former girlfriend, according to Hollywood Life, which also described Niall and Selena as having “casually dated for a few months in 2015 and 2016.”
A source told the media outlet that following Horan’s performance of “This Town,” she congratulated him and hugged Niall again.

In addition, Horan reportedly began following Selena on Instagram, according to a Twitter user.
After the pop princess’ surprise return at the AMAs, many stars showered her with support, according to E News.
Selena had taken a break from the spotlight to cope with health issues linked to lupus, and the AMAs provided her with the opportunity to make her first public appearance in almost three months. Following her emotional acceptance speech for the Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist award, Niall told her that she “did so good,” while Ariana Grande blew her a kiss.
The songstress expressed her gratitude in her acceptance speech.
“All I can say is I’m so grateful that I have the opportunity to be able to share what I love every day with people that I love.”
Prior to her public reunion at the AMAs with Horan, however, Gomez reportedly reconnected with her ex Justin.
Bieber is “back on” with the “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer, according to In Touch, which reported that Justin “reconnected over the phone while Sel was in rehab.”
A source told In Touch that she was “very open” to renewing her relationship with Bieber and that she was even “talking as if they’re engaged.”
However, Justin could not be there in person to hear her acceptance speech at the AMAs, reported E! News.
Bieber performed remotely from Italy, so he was not sitting there as the “Same Old Love” singer referenced her 2014 performance featuring a song she wrote about her breakup with Justin.
“In 2014, this stage was actually the first time that I was authentically 100 percent honest with all of you,” said Selena, hinting that her “The Heart Wants What It Wants” song performance that year, which E! News described as “a thinly veiled ode to her seemingly never-ending breakup with Justin Bieber.”
Admitting that most people knew about her life whether she “liked it or not,” the pop princess also shared that she had “kept it too much together to where I let myself down.” Describing her emotional growth during her time off, she emphasized she is “not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore.” And she also offered an inspirational message.
“If you are broken, you do not have to stay broken. And…that’s one thing you should know about me is, I care about people.”
The singer also opened up during her first post-rehab interview, according to the Hollywood Gossip.
The “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” songstress hasn’t had an easy time recently, pointed out the media outlet, noting that she “sought treatment at a secluded center in Tennessee because [of] depression and anxiety, which she said had developed as side effects of her lupus” and also commenting that the “nasty feuding with Justin Bieber that happened before she went off didn’t exactly help anything.”
But Gomez’s first post-rehab interview was upbeat, admitting that when it comes to fitness, she’s not a gym bunny. Describing herself as “horrible at discipline” when it comes to working out, she described her exercise attitude.
“I’m one of those people who’s like, ‘Ah, I ran for five minutes, I think I’m good.'”
However, her personal trainer helps to motivate her, and Selena shared that they hike, and she does Pilates as well. She also revealed the secrets to her glowing skin.
“I have a sweat bed, which looks like a burrito that I wrap myself up in, and I sweat for about 45 minutes,” Gomez commented. “You just sit in your sweat for an hour and don’t immediately shower because there’s natural collagen in your toxins that it actually makes your skin feel softer before you wash it all off.”
And while fans look up to their pop princess, she actually looks up to Blake Lively and Rachel McAdams, reported ET.
“I’ve never met [Blake Lively], but I just love her hair. I think she’s got beautiful, effortless hair,” admitted Gomez. “I also really love…Rachel McAdams, and the reason why I love her hair is because she can always change it up.”
As for her own beauty secrets when it comes to her lovely locks, she feels that her hair becomes “better every day when it’s kind of a little dirty,” she confessed.
Above all, the star expressed her motivation when it comes to exercise, health, and beauty.
“I wanted to be healthy; I wanted to feel good. I just wanted to make sure I was the best I could be for the show and for my fans,” summed up Gomez.
