‘The 100’ Season 4 Premiere Date Revealed, ‘Supernatural’ Moves To New Time Slot, And Other 2017 Programming Announcements From The CW Network

The CW network just made some announcements regarding its 2017 programming. Some of those include the premiere date for The 100 Season 4, the debut of Riverdale, The Vampire Diaries Season 8 finale, The Originals Season 4 premiere, and Supernatural moving to a new time slot.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, fans were disappointed that The 100 and The Originals were shelved until 2017. Viewers have been waiting patiently for any news on those shows and others. Finally, there is some information.

On January 17, the season finale of No Tomorrow will air on The CW network. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will move to Tuesday nights beginning January 24, 2017. The season finale will air on March 28. It is being paired with The Flash, which also airs on Tuesday evenings. On January 25, expect to see the season finale of Frequency.

Riverdale will premiere on January 26, 2017, Futon Critic reported. According to Screen Rant, the synopsis for the new TV show was released.

“As a new school year begins, the town of Riverdale is reeling from the recent, tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom – and nothing feels the same. Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) is still the All-American teen, but the summer’s events made him realize he wants to pursue a career in music – not follow in his dad’s footsteps – despite the sudden end of his forbidden relationship with Riverdale’s young music teacher, Ms. Grundy (Sarah Habel).

“Which means Archie doesn’t have anyone who will mentor him – certainly not singer Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), who is only focused on her band, the soon-to-be-famous Pussycats. It’s all weighing heavily on Archie’s mind – as is his fractured friendship with budding writer and fellow classmate Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse). Meanwhile, girl-next-door Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) is anxious to see her crush Archie after being away all summer, but she’s not quite ready to reveal her true feelings to him. And Betty’s nerves – which are hardly soothed by her overbearing mother Alice (Mädchen Amick) – aren’t the only thing holding her back.

“When a new student, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), arrives in town from New York with her mother Hermione (Marisol Nichols), there’s an undeniable spark between her and Archie, even though Veronica doesn’t want to risk her new friendship with Betty by making a play for Archie. And then there’s Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch)… Riverdale’s Queen Bee is happy to stir up trouble amongst Archie, Betty, and Veronica, but Cheryl is keeping secrets of her own. What, exactly, is she hiding about the mysterious death of her twin brother, Jason? Riverdale may look like a quiet, sleepy town, but there are dangers in the shadows…”

On January 26, Supernatural Season 12 will return with a different time slot. Make sure your DVR is set to record the TV show one hour earlier.

The 100 Season 4 premieres on February 1, 2017. When The CW series returns, the Sky Crew will be dealing with a new threat. A nuclear disaster is coming and it cannot be stopped. Besides the second apocalypse, Clarke (Eliza Taylor), Bellamy (Bob Morley), Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), Raven (Lindsey Morgan), and the other characters will be dealing with other things as well. The most discussed among fans is what is going to happen to Octavia.

As viewers recall from last season, Bellamy joined Pike’s (Michael Beach) anti-Grounder mission. He participated in killing hundreds of Grounders who were sent to Arkadia to protect them. Eventually, Octavia’s boyfriend, Lincoln (Ricky Whittle), was executed. Octavia has not forgiven Bellamy for it and will still be dealing with the death in Season 4.

On February 3, the Season 2 finale of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will air on The CW network. Reign will air the season premiere on February 10. The Vampire Diaries Season 8 finale airs on March 10 and The Originals Season 4 is scheduled to begin on March 17.

On April 4, 2017, expect to see a new season of iZombie. Season 3 will begin with back-to-back episodes starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT. However, it will move back to its original time slot on April 11.
