‘Below Deck’: Nico Scholly Asking For Donations After Brother’s Death

Nico Scholly, a cast member of this season’s hit Bravo reality series Below Deck, wants something positive to come out of his brother Tristen’s tragic death. The reality star is asking for donations in honor of his late brother.

Nico Scholly has set up a GoFundMe page in honor of his recently deceased brother Tristen Scott. According to Radar Online, the GoFundMe page was set up in the days after his death. Nico is asking for donations to the Gift of Hope.

“Thank you everyone for your love and support. The Abitua, Scholly, and Heidner family are devasted for losing one of our own. We lost a brother, best friend & so much more.

“To lose a brother, a son, a boyfriend, a friend…words can’t describe how we feel as family. We will keep you updated on Tristen Scott Scholly.

“Every dollar will help support this long process, and anything left over or extra will be donated to GIFT OF HOPE foundation. Tristen will be donating his eyes, lungs, liver, HEART, and other organs. He will save many lives.

“He will live on through other beautiful souls. Thank you everyone for your support, we are so greatly apprieciative. [sic].”

The Below Deck star announced his brother’s passing on Sunday night.

Nico was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before his brother’s passing, according to Radar. The family is from Chicago, Illinois.

“My best friend. My other half. My favorite little s**t. I hated you quiet often but loved the hell out of u no matter what. My heart is completely broken.

“This strong an amazing young man will be donating his heart, lungs, and organs to save people’s lives. I’m going to miss you so much Tristen.”

His cause of death remains unknown. Tristen was said to be battling an undisclosed illness when he passed away at the young age of 21.

Nico tweeted a thank you for donations to the Tristen Scott Scholly Memorial Fun with a photo of his brother in a hospital bed hooked up to monitors.

There will be a funeral service for Nico’s brother, where he will be laid to rest in a sports-themed celebration.

Nico, 23, updated the event page set up in Tristen Scott Scholly’s honor to include his burial plans.

“Tristen Scholly’s Wake will be at St Catherine of Siena WEAR BLACKHAWKS JERSEY OVER A DRESS SHIRT AND TIE [sic].”

“Tristenwouldn’t want a formal wake so lets make him happy….. from 4-8 FRIDAY in dundee, Illinois.

“Thank you everyone for your support. this has been very hard on the family and obviously a very touchy issue.”

The Bravo star told the Daily Dish that he and his family are devastated.

“My family and I are truly devastated. We ask that our privacy be respected at this tragic and very difficult time.”

Nico posted another photograph to Instagram today with is brother.

“Always making me laugh you little smart a**. Never a dull moment. I miss you so much already #chicago #brotherlove #tristen #belowdeck”

Other current and former castmates from Below Deck, such as Kate Chastain, reached out to Nico.

Nico Scholly starred on the most recent season of Below Deck, which is currently airing on Bravo.
