Synopsis of Movie: Best Selling Murder

Hannah Ryan is a talented author and mystery writer who is devastated to learn that she’s been dumped by her publisher and her husband. To deal with her despair, Hannah does what she knows best — write a compelling story. And she has a good one this time. Her series, “The Bloody Mary Chronicles” is a huge success and results in thousands of downloads online.

But when her publisher ends up dead with a knife to the chest, police suspect that her book bears a striking resemblance to the various murders that are occurring all over the city. Could a copycat serial killer be on the loose?

Lifetime Movie Network’s Best Selling Murder, also known as Serialized, reminds one of the true story of writer Blake Leibel. Authorities say that the Hollywood screenwriter killed his lover and drained her body of blood like a vampire. The murder was eerily similar to the one depicted in one of his violent graphic novel series. Read about that story at the Daily Mail.
