WW3 News: War With Russia Imminent Unless Donald Trump Backtracks NATO Position

A new Armata super tank was added to the fleet of Russian armor, and former British military experts are worried about the possibility of a pending war, according to a recent report by The Daily Mail. It’s not just the super tank though, a British admiral is saying that it is reportedly the position Donald Trump has on the NATO alliance that has many worried about the prospect of World War 3.

News that NATO was moving 300,000 troops to the outskirts of Russia during the United States election is not dispelling any concerns of an imminent war, reports Zero Hedge.

It was during the campaign for the United States presidency when Donald Trump said in a New York Times interview that he felt NATO was “obsolete” and that he thought if NATO members did not pay up, he would not think twice about pulling the United States out of the NATO alliance. This not only had Americans upset, but also military units in the NATO alliance that would need American backup in the event of World War 3.

As the United States election began this week, Zero Hedge reports that NATO began slowly planning to deploy over 300,000 troops to Russian borders and surrounding areas such as Latvia and Germany.

NATO is the alliance of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, a 28-country-organization, that relies on each other for peace-keeping and military support, and has since the end of World War II, reports NPR. For Donald Trump to threaten to pull America out, “openly questions the value of the alliance.” Already, according to The Sun, nations across the world are concerned that WW3 news with Russia could happen at any moment, now that Donald Trump is the president-elect of the United States.

British newspaper The Sun reports that three former generals in the British army, along with an admiral, have said that Europe should pay very close attention to any calls from Russia regarding a possible invasion after Donald Trump’s statements during the campaign. Sir Michael Graydon, a former chief of the Royal Air Force (RAF) reportedly said the following.

“If the U.S. leaves NATO, it would be absolutely disastrous and just what Vladimir Putin would like. If a situation occurs in the Baltic where we need to take a firm stance, the credibility of this would be lacking without the U.S. We can expect Trump to be quite serious on this one, he will not forget it.”

The former RAF chief said that European countries needed to “raise their game” and that if they do not, the future of NATO looked bleak. The Russians are definitely raising their game by adding new super tanks to their defense fleet, and NATO countries can’t help but wonder what Russia plans to do with them.

By “raising their game,” the chief means to increase military spending in their own country, as per the call of Donald Trump. The United States spent approximately $660 billion in defense last year, approximately 3.61 percent of its GDP, reports The Sun. Estonia, Poland, Greece, and Britain, four countries in the NATO alliance, spent 2 percent of their GDP on defense, the minimum requirement for NATO.

Britain has reportedly spent $43.2 billion on defense in 2015. How much a country spends on defense is important to Donald Trump, who said in an interview this year that countries that don’t increase their military spending do not get help from the United States, who does spend a lot on defense.

The Sun reports that another army head, General Lord Dannat said, “We’ve seen Donald Trump threaten all sorts of things, we should take that threat seriously. If the U.S. walks away, NATO ceases to exist, almost by definition, so we would have to invent something else.”

Richard Shirreff, former deputy supreme allied commander for Europe’s NATO branch is reportedly hoping that Donald Trump was just tossing out “rhetoric” but said, he hopes the rhetoric is “replaced by a very sober and serious statement that if there is any question of a NATO member being attacked then Trump will without any hesitation or equivocation come to the defense of the country.”

The cornerstone of NATO is that an attack against one country is attack on them all. As Russia was bombing Aleppo during the United States elections, NATO was preparing to deploy military and create an “aggressive troop build up around Russia,” reports Zero Hedge.

It is being described as preparation for “full scale conflict” just outside the Russian borders, and would also include the Baltic states. Zero Hedge reports that this is in response to Russia “being more active in many different ways” according to the secretary general of NATO.

“We have seen a more assertive Russia implementing a substantial military build-up over many years; tripling defense spending since 2000 in real terms; developing new military capabilities; expressing their forces and using military force against neighbors. NATO is responding with the biggest reinforcement of our collective defense since the end of the Cold War.”

The secretary general for NATO said this is in response to Russia “flexing its military might abroad” and reportedly conducting cyber attacks on Washington. Zero Hedge reports that Russia is also allegedly holding nuclear war drills on home soil. NATO is getting ready, and hopes that Donald Trump is prepared to pitch in, as WW3 news with Russia appears more imminent every day.

Vladimir Putin also held military drills recently near Montenegro which were reportedly seen as “brazen” attempts by Russia to demean and intimate NATO troops. Additionally, Russia has been linked to alleged cyber attacks in Washington and allegedly leaking that information to rogue publishing platform, WikiLeaks.

NATO expects it will take 180 days to get 300,000 troops in the areas around Russia to create a defense wall in the event of war. NPR reports that in the event that a Trump election occurred, and the uncertainty of NATO’s future loomed alongside WW3 news with Russia, the matter of strengthening those strong holds was “given greater urgency.”

NPR reports that in addition to the 300,000 troops being deployed to Russian borders, 800 are being sent to Baltic state Estonia, and Canadians will lead a coalition in Germany and Estonia’s fellow Baltic states, Latvia and Lithuania. NPR reports that Donald Trump’s compliments to Russian president Vladimir Putin during his campaign, alongside his suggestion that he will withdraw from NATO are two events happening together that are not dispelling the anxiety within NATO members that WW3 news with Russia is imminent.

NPR reports that Jonathan Eyal, director of the military think tank Royal United Services Institute said the following.

“I think the shock and amazement in Europe is about how much of a rupture president-elect Trump is compared to any other American politicians since 1947. He is creating a dangerous perception that Washington no longer cares about its formal strategic alliances.”

Eyal also said that previous U.S. presidents were “motivated by shared values of democracy” but that, “Trump is completely different.” Whereas most presidents saw NATO as a democratic process of humanitarian and defense assistance, Trump sees it as “transactional” and is “focused on what’s in it for him.”

NPR also says that Trump taking the United States out of the NATO alliance is good news for Vladimir Putin, as it would make WW3 news with Russia in Europe easier to manage without having to fight the Americans as well. Eyal is hoping that when Donald Trump attends a NATO summit next year in Brussels, his tone will have changed.

A director of the German Marshall Fund also told NPR that it is in America’s best financial interests to stay within the NATO alliance.

“Having these expensive soldiers in Europe basically guarantees that American business investments in Europe can operate in a stable environment. Mr. Trump is a talented business man. I do believe that he will understand that investments need to be protected.”
