Tamar Braxton Returning To ‘The Real’ After Ratings Increase?

Tamar Braxton’s departure from The Real reportedly sent ratings for Season 3 of the daytime talk show into a downward spiral in September, but could Braxton actually be returning to the show amid reports that ratings are now back on the rise?

According to reports, after The Real suffered what Bandit Star described in September as being a “ratings crisis” after Broadcasting Cable claimed that the daytime talk show suffered from a 22 percent decrease in viewership compared to the Season 2 premiere, but after a whole lot of drama between Braxton and her former co-hosts, ratings are now on their way back up.

Dallas Black is reporting that despite a poor start ratings-wise for the first Season 3 of the show, which is hosted by Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Adrienne Bailon, ratings have now “climbed 13 percent to a season high of 0.9.”

As for exactly why ratings from the daytime series have seen a sudden spike, reports are speculating that Braxton could actually have driven viewers back to the show after making no secret of her feud with her former co-stars in the wake of her May firing.

“Perhaps all the drama and shade thrown by Tamar on social media has had the opposite effect and brought in additional viewers,” Dallas Black speculated shortly after Braxton threw a whole lot of shade The Real’s way amid their feud.

Tamar hasn’t exactly been shy about her feud with The Real over the past several months, slamming her former co-stars on social media on multiple occasions in the weeks and months that followed her firing.

One of Braxton’s most scathing blasts against the ladies of The Real came in August after Tamar confirmed her feud with her former friends and admitted that she hasn’t spoken to any of her former co-hosts, despite Tamera suggesting otherwise.

“I wish that I would stop being brought up since I was so BAD,” Tamar tweeted after Tamera revealed in a Periscope chat with fans that she and Braxton were still on good terms despite the feud rumors.

“No shade… but don’t believe the hype!” Braxton continued, according to BET, but has since deleted her slew of tweets. “I haven’t spoken to [anyone]… real friends don’t need press.”

Tamar Braxton’s feud with The Real then hit headlines once again following Season 3’s premiere after Tamar got into a major feud with former friend Toya Wright after she appeared on the series during its big premiere week.

Wright confirmed in her memoir In My Own Words… My Reality that Tamar unfollowed her across social media after her appearance on The Real, suggesting that Tamar still isn’t on good terms with anyone associated with the series.

“Little did I know, when I was done with the show I was gonna lose a friend and get unfollowed,” Toya wrote of her feud with Tamar in the book. “I logged on to my social media accounts to see that I was tagged in all kinds of posts saying that myself and another friend were unfollowed for going on the show.”

Tamar and Toya then continued to throw a whole lot of shade at each other on social media amid their Real drama, before Wright then publicly promoted The Real by posting about friend Kandi Burruss’s appearance on the series while slamming Braxton in the process.

“My boo will be stopping by @therealdaytime today!” Wright wrote alongside an Instagram photo of Kandi posing with Jeannie, Adrienne, Tamera and Loni. “Make sure u guys tune in.”

Toya then slammed Braxton with the cryptic hashtag #friendssupportfriends.

But while Tamar has made no secret of her feud with Adrienne, Jeannie, Loni, Tamera, and now Toya, at least one of her former Real co-stars is hinting that fans may not have seen the last of Braxton on the show.

Loni made a pretty surprising confession about Braxton on social media last month, admitting that she’d welcome Tamar back to the series as a guest, despite months of drama between the two after it was announced that Braxton would not be a part of Season 3.

Love made the admission on social media, replying to a fan who asked, “Will [you] have @TamarBraxtonHer as a guest of the @TheRealDaytime?”

Loni then replied amid the her and Braxton’s feud, “For me… She is always welcome.”

Tamar has yet to respond to Love’s social media message, although the Braxton Family Values star will soon be busy with her own rival talk show produced by Steve Harvey, The Tamar Braxton Show.
