Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are married!
The celebrity couple confirmed to People Magazine today that they were married in Italy earlier this week.
The couple released a statement today, saying:
“It’s great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends.”
Newsday reports that the Timberlake and Biel got married in front of family and friends at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the town of Puglia in southern Italy. Timberlake’s former ‘N Sync band member Chris Kirkpatrick, Biel’s former 7th Heaven co-star Beverly Mitchell, and Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg were all in attendance.
According to People Magazine , Biel and Timberlake have been celebrating their nuptials all week in italy. On Thursday, they hosted an outdoor party for all of their guests and on Wednesday they watched fireworks and danced on the beached. The celebrity magazine promises more details in its next issue.
Timberlake proposed to Biel last December. At the time the singer said:
“I think it’s important to remember that you go into something like marriage knowing that you don’t know very much about it at all. But I do look at the marriage of my mother and stepdad, and what makes it work for them is that it’s a team effort.”
