‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7: Spain Filming Reveals Major Spoilers

Warning: This article may contain Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers.

The Game of Thrones cast has been filming in Spain for a few weeks now, and fan site Watchers On The Wall reports local fans are treating them like rock stars.

In one Instagram post, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) hangs out with some happy young fans in Seville.

And fans in this video go crazy as Clarke’s vehicle approaches.

Meanwhile, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has also been receiving lots of love from local fans.

But while the Spanish fans are enjoying the GoT cast, the rest of us get to enjoy some big time spoilers. WOTW reports that Clarke, Harington, Lena Headey (Cersei), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Nathalie Emmual (Missandrei), Anton Lesser (Qyburn), Rory McCann (Sandor Celgane), and Hafthor Bjornsson (The Mountain) have been working together at the Ithica ruins.

What are they all doing there? Sources tell the fan site that the group filmed a scene that “involves characters bringing a wight into the Dragonpit as proof of the White Walker threat.”

Whoa. Now that’s a major Game of Thrones Season 7 spoiler. WOTW remains a bit cautious about the authenticity of the spoiler until the episode airs, but things seem to check out, and the development will come as no surprise to fans of the show.

Meanwhile, WOTW also reports a minor recurring cast member, Annette Hannah, has also been spotted in Seville. Hannah played one of the little birds who told Qyburn she missed Lord Varys, the old Master of Whisperers. Her appearance in Spain means that the little bird will like be in the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale.

All this exciting news follows a previous Inquisitr report that Game of Thrones Season 7 crews have been busy filming a massive battle scene in Malpartida, which is in the Spanish province of Cáceres. Cast and crew will reportedly be shooting for one month in a barren field. Rumor has it that 450 extras will undergo a week of British military training before taking part in a scene that could be bigger than Season 6’s Battle of the Bastards.

According to WOTW, the fight will be started by the Targaryens, and Daenerys will lead the way with one or more dragons. A casting sheet also indicates the Dothraki army will be part of the battle, and the Lannisters are the army under fire. The epic confrontation will supposedly happen by the midseason of Game of Thrones Season 7.

And we also brought you the news that Tyrion (Dinklage) and Davos (Liam Cunningham) were spotted filming a beach scene by Spanish newspaper El Correio. In the footage, Tyrion and Davos are seen chatting as they stand next to a small boat.

The meeting of Tyrion and Davos will likely set off many new Game of Thrones Season 7 plot theories among fans because they have never interacted in the previous six seasons of the show. As WOTW notes, Tyrion and Davos have opposed each other in a war, and Tyrion’s defense led to the death of Davos’ son. However, a partnership between them could greatly help their respective leaders, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.

And then there was the major spoiler by Los Siete Reinos that fan favorite Joe Dempsie (Gendry) was seen on set in Spain. GoT viewers know that Gendry was last seen in Season 3, when he rowed away from the shores of Dragonstone and into oblivion, setting off a long-running social media meme.

What do you think of the latest Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers? Are you excited about the White Walker spoiler?

Game of Thrones Season 7 returns to HBO in the summer of 2017.
