A security incident at Donald Trump's campaign rally in Reno, Nevada, resulted in Secret Service agents rushing the GOP presidential hopeful off the stage. The incident happened near the podium where Trump was speaking. A commotion broke out in the front of the room. Secret Service agents determined that the threat was serious and immediately covered Trump with their bodies and escorted him off stage. Following the incident, numerous outlets are reporting that a "man with a gun" stormed the stage resulting in the security incident.
Here is video I took from the floor as Secret Service and SWAT subdued the man and then led him out. Apologies for the poor quality. pic.twitter.com/wrNbX39J4O

"Secret Service agents rushed Donald trump offstage on Saturday evening during a rally in Reno, Nevada after they determined a protester in the audience with a gun posed a threat to the Republican presidential candidate."
BREAKING NEWS*****Attempted Assassination Of Donald Trump in Reno Nevada......Gun Was Involved----Trump Retakes Stage and is OKAY!!!The agents yelled "Go! Go!" as they escorted the Republican presidential candidate from the stage. It was then reported that local authorities and private security wrestled the "man with a gun" to the ground. However, he didn't return without giving a huge thank you to his Secret Service team.

"Nobody said it was going to be easy for us. But we will never be stopped. Never, never be stopped. I want to thank the Secret Service. These guys are fantastic. They don't get enough credit. They don't get enough credit. They're amazing people."Trump then looked to the crowd near the podium and indicated that he "saw what they were doing." Trump implied that it was a group of Trump supporters that may have initially subdued the "man with a gun" in the moments leading up to the Secret Service removing him from the stage.
"You were amazing, fellas. I saw what you were doing. That's a tough group of people right that... Nobody messes with our people, right?"
He's my hero, he came back on stage in Reno & finished the rally. #Reno #NV https://t.co/6u1D403uq2The suspect is reportedly being detained in a bathroom at the back of the venue.

Here is the man in question, in handcuffs, being searched by officers after he was escorted out of the rally area. pic.twitter.com/pjoMCtM39KInterestingly, this isn't the first alleged assassination attempt against Donald Trump. Back in June, a British man attempted to grab a police officer's gun in a bid to "assassinate" the presidential hopeful. The Washington Post covered the assassination attempt and asked why the incident didn't make the breaking news segment for every mainstream media outlet.

"News outlets have certainly reported on the incident, but it hasn't gotten anything resembling wall-to-wall coverage. Cable news shows devoted little time to Sandford Tuesday morning and afternoon. Trump's dismal fundraising report from May and his recent firing of campaign manager Corey Lewandowski received far more attention. Trump called in to the Trump-friendly 'Fox & Friends' morning show and wasn't even asked about the attempt on his life."Update 10:18 PM EST: Reports suggest that no weapon was found on the man from the Reno Trump rally. Instead, the protester was rushing the stage and a Trump supporter thought they saw a weapon so screamed, "He's got a gun!" causing Secret Service agents to remove Trump from the area.
Update 11:03 PM EST: NBC Newsreports that no weapons were found on the suspect.
