People Magazine revealed that Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo today at the Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The pair reportedly wed in front of nearly 1,000 guests with Jeremy’s father, Chuck, officiating the wedding.

Jinger has kept the plans of her wedding under wraps, likely attempting to keep as many details out of the public eye as possible to ensure a large viewer base for the eventual Counting On wedding special. Similarly, the Duggar family has close ties with People Magazine and typically attempts to keep information private until People has a chance to release the information first, likely for a nice sum of money. Jinger Duggar’s wedding was no different.

The family made the official wedding announcement via People Magazine and then a couple of hours later posted a wedding blog announcement to the official Duggar family blog. In the video posted to the blog, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar film from the wedding venue noting that Jinger just got married to Jeremy moments ago. The family calls the pair a “match made in heaven” while Jim Bob praises Jinger for being a “dynamic” and “Godly” girl.

The family released some details about the wedding to People Magazine including details on the wedding party. It was noted that Jessa Seewald was Maid of Honor while Jeremy’s brother Charles served as Best Man. Jeremy’s father Chuck officiated the wedding and nearly 1,000 guests attended the big event.

Jinger and Jeremy said the day was incredible and that the most touching part was that Jeremy’s father was able to officiate and pray for the couple on their big day.

“This was one of the most touching parts of the wedding is for Jeremy’s father to be able to officiate our wedding, standing with us and praying for us on this special day.”

Jinger also revealed to People Magazine that the pair would be spending a few quiet days together before heading to Australia and New Zealand for their honeymoon.

“We plan to get away for a couple of days alone together and then will be leaving the country for an amazing trip to New Zealand and Australia. We are so excited and so thankful for this amazing trip to start our marriage together. Most of all, we are just excited that we will be together … married!”

Jinger’s wedding was the focal point of the day today; however, there was someone else in the Duggar family also celebrating a big day today. Jessa Seewald’s son Spurgeon turned 1-year-old today. In a bid to not overshadow Spurgeon’s first birthday, the Duggars posted a birthday message early in the day before announcing Jinger’s big news.
