Michael Buble, Luisana Lopilato Latest News: Cancer, ‘Nobody But Me,’ Careers, Privacy And Prayer Requests

There is sad news in the Michael Buble, Luisana Lopilato household. The Grammy-winning singer and his actress and model wife announced on Friday via Facebook their 3-year-old son, Noah, has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. The couple also announced their careers would be on hold and requested privacy and prayer. Public status messages addressing their son’s cancer diagnosis appeared on both Michael Buble’s and Luisana Lopilato’s official Facebook pages.

The following message was posted on Luisana Lopilato’s Facebook.

“We are devastated by the recent cancer diagnosis of our eldest son Noah who is currently in treatment in the United States. We’ve always talked a lot about the importance of the family and the love we have for our children. Katie and I are going to spend all our time and attention to help Noah to get better, by suspending our professional activities for now. During this difficult time, we ask that you pray for him and please respect our privacy. We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God, we can win this battle.”

A similar, yet different message was posted on Michael Bublé’s official Facebook page.

“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well.

At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”

The announcement didn’t specify what type of cancer Noah was diagnosed with. Michael Buble did say that the diagnosis was recent and that he is undergoing treatment. According to a report by the Daily Mail, the couple had taken Noah to the doctor after having a suspected case of the mumps. Medical testing later returned the cancer diagnosis. Michael Buble shared a family photo with his wife and sons Noah, 3, and Elias, 9-months, on his Instagram account before learning the devastating news.

Buble and Lopilato were engaged in 2009 and married in November of 2011. According to CTV News, the couple welcomed Noah on August 27, 2013. Their second son, Elias, was born on January 22, 2016. The response from the couple’s fans and the general public has been overwhelming. After news of Noah’s cancer diagnosis spread across social media networks, so too has an outpouring of love, support, and prayers. Words of encouragement have been posted on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and undoubtedly, people are responding to the couple’s request for prayer and sending healing energy, thoughts, and prayers for Noah’s complete recovery, health, and well-being.

Michael Buble hasn’t shared an update regarding Noah’s current condition on his official Twitter account, but he had previously shared updates on his latest public and television appearances.

In the news release posted on Facebook, Buble announced he and his wife are taking a break from their careers as they focus their energies on Noah’s healing. Buble appeared on BBCOne just one day before revealing the news about Noah. The show was pre-recorded and was titled Buble at the BBC.

This isn’t the first health crisis the Buble family faced this year. Buble underwent vocal chord surgery in June of 2016. The surgery required Buble to undergo two weeks of silence while his vocal chords healed. A message posted on his official website stated the surgery was a success. Many people worldwide hope that Noah will have the same positive outcome from his cancer treatment and that the family will move pass this health crisis into happier times.

Michael Buble and Luisana Lopilato are putting their careers on hold just as Buble released his ninth studio album, Nobody But Me. Reprise Records released the album on October 21, 2016, and it’s receiving critical praise. The album has already reached the second spot on the top Billboard 200 U.S. charts.
