James Bond’s Flirtatious Scene With ‘Skyfall’ Male Villain Javier Bardem

WARNING WARNING WARNING: Possible spoilers for upcoming James Bond movie, Skyfall.

Over the last 50 years, James Bond has been the man every woman wants to be with, and the kind of man every other man wants to be. There has never been any underlying bisexual tones for James Bond, but could the worlds best secret agent have a romantic experience with another man?

According to NBC News, there is a scene in the upcoming James Bond movie, Skyfall, in which there is some questionable flirting between Bond (Daniel Craig) and the film’s villain Silva (Javier Bardem). Bond is tied up and bound to a chair, and Silva starts caressing the secret agent’s chest.

According to Movieline, Bond responds to Silva’s advances by saying, “What makes you think this is my first time?”

Many reporters were curious and asked about the flirtatious scene at a press conference … and Craig praised the encounter, calling the back-and-forth “a game of cards,” as he says “I don’t see the world in sexual divisions.”

“Bond isn’t bi,” writes writer, Frank DiGiacomo.

A commentor on The Huffington Post story about the flirtatious scene posted this comment:

“I’ve never seen Bond as having those undertones, but I could easily see him opportunistically playing to the prejudices of anyone. If he were bi, it wouldn’t bother me. It wouldn’t surprise me either. Bond honestly strikes me as the kind of guy into things that would make simply being bi seem quaint.”

Another Huffington Post commentor had another opinion, writing “C’mon, every guy is a little gay for James Bond.”

“Skyfall” opens on November 9th in the U.S.
