Are Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Headed For A Wedding? She Has Finally Confirmed Their Engagement

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are engaged and planning to get married. However, when it comes to their impending wedding date, no announcement has been made by either party.

Since Miley Cyrus began wearing her stunning engagement ring earlier this year after rekindling her romance with Hemsworth at the end of 2015, fans have been wondering when she and Hemsworth would tie the knot, but so far, swirling rumors were all they had to go on.

For the past several months, rumors have been circulating which claim Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s wedding has been called off, but considering she showed off her engagement ring on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on October 27, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

While Miley Cyrus stayed mum on when her wedding to Hemsworth would take place, she admitted to the talk show host that the 3.5 Neil Lane engagement ring Hemsworth gave her isn’t exactly her style. In fact, she said she often replaces the $100,000 diamond with a Looney Tune character or unicorn.

“It’s very weird, cause this is like real jewelry, and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy,” Miley Cyrus said when Degeneres asked her why she doesn’t always wear the ring. “And, they don’t look that good together ’cause they kind of mix up.”

“[Liam’s] kind of like, ‘What’s going on?’ And I am like, ‘Well, this isn’t really my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it ’cause you love me,'” she continued, according to a report by Yibada on November 2.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth struck up a romance while filming 2010’s The Last Song and in 2012, they became engaged. In the year that followed, Cyrus appeared to take on a very different persona, and after performing a very racy duet with Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, her engagement to Hemsworth was called off.

For two years, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth dated other people. Then, at the end of 2015, they rekindled their romance.

“[Miley Cyrus] is beyond happy to be engaged to Liam again. It might seem sudden, but they have been very close for the past few months … They just wanted to keep their relationship out of the spotlight while they figured things out,” a source explained to People Magazine in August. “Liam never liked how exposed his life was with Miley.”

Since getting back together nearly one year ago, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been quite private with their relationship. Although they are often seen together in Malibu, Cyrus and Hemsworth stay mum when it comes to the press and rarely share photos of one another on social media. That said, they are both taking their relationship seriously and plan to get married eventually.

“Miley wants to get married. His family was very hesitant about a marriage in the past, but they really got to know Miley better when she spent time in Australia a few weeks ago. Everyone seems excited that they are back together,” the source continued.

Miley Cyrus is already “fantasizing about their wedding,” a source close to the singer added to People Magazine. “They don’t have a date… They are moving surprisingly slowly. Miley seems to have matured a lot. In the past, she tended to rush things. She acts much more calm and happy now.”
