‘X Factor’ Host Mario Lopez Set To Air TLC Wedding Special

X Factor host Mario Lopez is all set to air his TLC wedding special this December, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The heartthrob and former star of the 90s television classic Saved by the Bell is preparing to tie the proverbial knot with fiance Courtney Mazza, and he’d like nothing more than to turn the ceremony into a two-hour television event.

“Courtney and I already feel incredibly blessed to have found each other, and thank God for our beautiful daughter Gia,” Lopez explained. “Our family is looking forward to celebrating our wedding later this year, and know that TLC is the perfect partner to help us share our love and our special day with the rest of the world.”

The Detroit Free Press reports that the two-hour Mario Lopez & Courtney Mazza Wedding Special is presently slated to air on December 8. In addition seeing the X Factor host wed his bride-to-be, viewers will also be treated to footage of the happy couple preparing for said event.

The news of the upcoming wedding special arrives shortly after Mario Lopez was named as co-host of this season’s X Factor. Khloe Kardashian, who also ventured down the road towards wedded bliss on national television, will reportedly share hosting duties with the groom.

“I’ve always wanted to do hosting or talk-show hosting, so it’s definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do. To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that,” Kardashian explained.

Lopez, of course, is certainly no stranger to hosting television programs. Not only has the actor been front and center on Extra for a number of years, Lopez also spent some time on the TV show America’s Best Dance Crew.
