So, Does Netflix Have a Release Date For Arrow Season 5?

Netflix has always been pretty consistent when it comes to releasing CW shows on Netflix. For the past three years, fans expected new seasons of Arrow to be added to Netflix in October. This was along with their counterparts that aired on television around the same time. Next year, however, things are going to be a little different for fans of CW shows.

Earlier this year, CW and Netflix signed a new contract. This contract stated that titles would be coming to Netflix a lot sooner than the usual October 2017 release date fans had previously expected. With the new contract, Netflix will get all of the episodes of a CW show eight days after the season finale of the show airs on CW. This means that eight days after the finale of Season 5 of Arrow airs on television, you will be able to binge on the entire season on Netflix.

For fans who are following Season 5 as it airs, you know the season kicked off this year on October 5. The series is expected to air its finale episode towards the end of the month of May. This means that Season 5 of Arrow should be added to Netflix U.S. as early as the first or second week of June 2017. Naturally, the exact Netflix release date for Arrow Season 5 is going to depend completely on what the date of the finale episode on the CW network is. However, it looks like Netflix subscribers will get to binge on the new season a few months earlier than they would have before the new contract was worked out.

What’s On Netflix did point out the fact that the contract between CW and Netflix was not clear on whether it included some or all of the shows. Unfortunately, this means the estimated release date of June 2017 is nothing more than speculation based on the contract.
