Miley Cyrus Quitting ‘The Voice?’ ‘Uncertain’ About Return Amid Feud, Replaced By Gwen Stefani?

Miley Cyrus is reportedly considering making her first season of The Voice her last and quitting the show all together.

According to reports, Miley is currently “uncertain” about whether or not she’ll return to The Voice for Season 12 after joining the coaching panel earlier this year, despite those behind the scenes allegedly urging her to return.

The Voice is set to begin filming on Season 12 very soon and they would love to have Miley back as a coach,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life, admitting that Cyrus isn’t yet sure if she’ll be heading back to the NBC singing show for another round next year.

“Miley is uncertain and has not made any decisions yet,” the source said of the chances of Cyrus quitting as rumors swirl that former coach Gwen Stefani could be back for another season alongside boyfriend Blake Shelton.

While Cyrus and The Voice producers have not officially commented on their plans for Season 12 or rumors Miley is considering quitting, Hollywood Life’s insider claimed that Miley is reluctant to sign on a dotted line for another season because she doesn’t want to be known as a reality star.

“While [Miley] is enjoying her time on the show, she never set out to be a reality star,” the insider said of Cyrus, adding that Miley also “has lots of creative projects she wants to put her energy into” that allegedly include more acting roles and charity work, meaning she could potentially quit and leave a space for Gwen on the panel.

Notably, reports claiming that Miley could be ready to quit The Voice after just one season come just days after Cyrus told Yahoo! that she was only serving as a coach on the singing show in an attempt to raise awareness for her charity, the Happy Hippie foundation, which aims to helps homeless youth.

“I am only doing The Voice because that helps Happy Hippie,” Miley admitted to the site earlier this month. “I think I just felt so stupid. I felt like what I was doing didn’t have value,” Cyrus continued, “because being a pop star was really silly when people are homeless and hungry.”

Miley Cyrus is yet to officially confirm if Season 12 of The Voice will be her first and last, though rumors have been swirling for weeks that Cyrus could be quitting the show amid claims that she’s been locked in a pretty nasty feud with at least one of her fellow coaches.

OK! Magazine alluded to a feud between Miley and veteran coach Adam Levine, alleging that things had gotten so bad between the two that Cyrus was considering quitting as soon as possible.

“Miley’s dying to get out of there,” the site claimed of Cyrus alleged The Voice feud with Adam. “Things are so bad. She’s had enough.”

Adding that Cyrus has supposedly been left “in tears” more than once after disagreements on the set, the magazine also claimed that Miley “feels like it’s a boys’ club and that she’s all alone.”

Radar Online also reported the alleged an on-set feud brewing between Cyrus and Levine earlier this year, claiming that the two coaches have been “at each other’s throats” during filming and just don’t seem to get along.

“[Adam] does not talk to [Miley] when the cameras are not rolling,” the site alleged of the supposed feud, “and seems like he really wants nothing to do with her.”

Though Cyrus and Levine haven’t exactly been shy about hiding their bickering on The Voice’s twelfth season, neither have officially confirmed the rampant feud rumors.

Reports have also suggested that Gwen Stefani, who first served as a coach in 2015, could potentially return for Season 12, as Radar Online reported that Shelton has been lobbying for Stefani to head back to The Voice for months and even alleged that both are already in negotiations with producers to return.

A source claimed that Gwen and Blake were both left “livid” when Miley was announced as a new coach earlier this year, but noted that producers know that having Stefani and Shelton back together could see ratings skyrocket.

The Voice executives already know that Gwen and Blake together is ratings gold because they saw it,” a source revealed of Shelton and Stefani. “Right now Blake, Gwen and the bosses are in a back and forth bidding war over their contracts.”

Do you think Miley Cyrus’s first season on The Voice could also be her last?

Update: USA Today has since confirmed that Gwen Stefani will be returning to The Voice for Season 12, while Miley Cyrus is expected to sit out the next cycle before returning for Season 13.
