Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush and his girlfriend Lilit Avagyan are expecting their first child together, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Bush, who famously dated Kim Kardashian prior to linking up with Avagyan over a year ago, confirmed the happy news Tuesday during an appearance on South Florida radio’s Paul and Young Ron Morning Show .
“I have a little one on the way,” the 27-year-old athlete revealed. “We can’t wait. It’s an opportunity to bring in a new life and raise a child. I think that’s the most special gift to a man and a woman. I look forward to it and to building a family.”
While Bush said he has not found out the sex of the new baby and gave no details when Lilit was due, he did admit that he was praying for a boy.
“I’m hoping for a boy,” he joked. “Because if it’s a girl, I’m going straight to the gun shop to buy some guns.”
Bush, who is having one of the best seasons of his career this year (417 rushing yards and 3 TDs in five games), went on to say that a baby isn’t the only soon-to-be new addition to the Bush-Avagyan household.
“On top of that, we went and got two puppies yesterday,” he said, laughing. “We’re packing the house already.”
