Rhea Perlman Reportedly Tired Of Danny DeVito’s ‘Womanizing’ Before Split

Earlier this week, we learned that Rhea Perlman, probably best known to 80s kids as the sharp-tongued Carla from Cheers, was divorcing hubby of three decades, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Danny DeVito.

The Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito marriage was one that was refreshing when compared to other Hollywood couplings — the pair were both a bit more every man than the rest of the big network stars of the day, and kind of a reminder that love is love, even if you aren’t six feet tall, blonde and stick thin.

And now that the news Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito are splitting after more than three decades together, the inevitable “sources close to the family” are speaking out with suspicions as to why the couple who wed in 1982 have finally decided to call it quits several decades after they met on the set of Taxi.

According to the unnamed source that blabbed to RadarOnline, Rhea Perlman tired of Danny DeVito’s womanizing ways and the attention from other women heaped upon him since he began starring on the sleeper hit It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

But even before the show became huge, the source gossips, Perlman and DeVito had had their share of discontent. The spy reports:

“He may not appear to be a ladies’ man, but Danny certainly gets a lot of female attention … Danny can be quite the flirt and because of his powerful status in Hollywood, he’s not ashamed to abuse his position and chat-up young, aspiring woman looking to make it in the industry.”

The source continues:

“Despite his reputation as a lovable, funny guy in movies and on TV, Danny’s actually quite the womanizer. And, like a lot of red-blooded males, if he sees an attractive girl in a coffee shop or walking down the street, he will give her the eye … After years of turning a blind eye to it, Rhea finally snapped. She had enough of his bad-boy behavior and wanted an end to their marriage.”

He or she concludes:

“The break-up has been on the cards for a long time, probably over 10 years, because they haven’t been happy for a long, long time.”

Reps for Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito have not commented upon rumors as to why the couple split after more than three decades together.
