Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Plan Summer Wedding, Gavin Rossdale Says ‘Enough’ With Cheating Talk

Gwen Stefani didn’t have to go looking for love after she and Gavin Rossdale called it quits last year — her next relationship pretty much fell into her lap while she was working as a coach on The Voice. Now she and country musician Blake Shelton are so in love that they are bombarded with weekly wedding rumors, but it’s been a real struggle for Gavin Rossdale to rebound from his divorce.

Gwen Stefani’s ex has kept a pretty low profile ever since Gwen decided to end their 12-year marriage, but now that Gavin has scored a gig as a coach on The Voice UK, he can no longer shun the spotlight. If he wants to keep his spinning red seat on the show, he also has to work on rebuilding his image, an effort that will be no easy feat in the wake of Us Weekly‘s bombshell report that he cheated on Gwen with one of their children’s nannies.

As the Mirror reports, Gavin finally opened up about the demise of their marriage during an interview with the Sunday Times Style. However, the Bush frontman didn’t apologize for his behavior or ask fans to forgive him. Instead, he said that everyone just needs to quit talking about what he did to Gwen and his family.

“It’s, like, enough already. I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on,” Rossdale said.

It’s no secret that Gwen Stefani has moved on. She began dating Blake Shelton last November, and now Hollywood Life claims that the musical power couple is planning a summer wedding.

“Both want to wait until next summer to get married. Because this is the second marriage for both, they would prefer to just do a quickie low key Las Vegas thing, but Gwen feels like they need to go the traditional route because of her children,” a source revealed.

Previous reports said that Gwen and Blake were going to wed sometime around Christmas, but a rep for Gwen Stefani recently told Gossip Cop that these rumors are untrue. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gwen will finish touring this month, and she’s said that she plans on spending her downtime having fun with her sons, not planning a wedding.

Gwen isn’t the only one thinking about 10-year-old Kingston, 8-year-old Zuma, and 2-year-old Apollo. While Gavin Rossdale didn’t express any remorse for cheating on Gwen Stefani during his interview with the Sunday Times, he did say that he does not want his sons to be like him when they grow up.

“I’m going to try and take all the things I’ve ever done wrong and keep them away from that,” Gavin said.

The alt-rocker also talked about his new gig on The Voice UK, something he signed on for even though he thinks that reality shows are “ridiculous.” Gavin was asked what Gwen Stefani thinks of his decision to join The Voice family, but he didn’t exactly answer the question. If he and Gwen did have a discussion about his new job, he clearly doesn’t want to share what was said.

“You know … We just … It’s really about focusing on the kids. That’s our thing,” he stuttered in response.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, many Gwen Stefani fans were upset when they learned that her unfaithful ex was going to appear on the British version of the show where found love with Blake Shelton. Some of them expressed their dismay on Twitter, but Gavin told the Sunday Times that he’s not worried “about the miscellaneous 15-year-old from Ohio with an opinion.”

Still, there seem to be a lot of Team Shefani fans out there, so Gavin Rossdale could have his work cut out for him when he tries to charm viewers on The Voice UK. He also may want to start praying that there aren’t too many Gwen Stefani fans among the aspiring singers who compete on the reality show — he could have a tough time filling spots on his team if there are.
