“I Pledge” Obama video gets right-wing panties in a twist

A video being circulated (and shown in some schools) is rubbing righties the wrong way.

“I Pledge,” a video featuring myriad celebrities pledging all kinds of things to improve American society, such as civil service and selective toilet flushing (thanks, Jason Bateman!), is making the right-wing web rounds. Most notably, Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers pledges to serve Barack Obama, which is really not sitting well with many bloggers and many parents.

I thought the spot was less than sinister, and could definitely speak to kids who, because of socio-economic status or other challenges, might benefit from this kind of inclusive statement. What do you think? Inspiring lecture about being a good citizen or ZOMG Socialist indoctrination? Video below:
