Jennifer Aniston Wants Brad Pitt To Be Happy After His Divorce, Will She Be Called To Testify In Court?

Jennifer Aniston may have been hurt by Brad Pitt over a decade ago, but according to a new report, she’s not holding a grudge against her former husband.

Years after the 52-year-old actor fell in love with Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, thus ending his romance with the Friends actress, Jennifer Aniston is reportedly wishing him well. However, that doesn’t mean she didn’t see his split from Jolie coming.

“[Jennifer Aniston] always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually,” an insider told Us Weekly. “She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”

Following Jolie’s divorce filing on September 19, Jennifer Aniston reportedly told a friend, “Yeah, that’s karma for you!”

As fans will recall, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt went through a very messy split in early 2005 after months of rumors regarding Pitt’s potential on-set affair with Jolie. In spring of that year, Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce, and just weeks later, Pitt and Jolie went public in Kenya. They then welcomed their first child together, daughter Shiloh, in May 2006.

Jennifer Aniston “admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split,” a second insider revealed, but she also “never wanted this for them or wished this on them.”

Along with Shiloh, Pitt and Jolie are parents to 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

“[Jennifer Aniston] does wish Brad luck and the best. She feels like she’s happy, and she wants him to be happy too,” the second insider continued. “Jen does not hold on to any negativity from her marriage to Brad.”

While Jennifer Aniston has since moved on from her marriage to Pitt with new husband Justin Theroux, whom she wed last August, a new report claims she could soon be forced to go to court and testify against Pitt. In her divorce filing, Jolie claimed Pitt was suffering from anger issues, and a short time later, it was alleged that he had gotten physical with their son after drinking on a plane. Now, Jolie reportedly hopes Jennifer Aniston can help her prove her case.

“Angelina intended to have her legal team subpoena and depose [Jennifer Aniston],” an insider revealed to Radar Online on October 5. “She wanted to have her grilled regarding Brad’s past drug and alcohol abuse.”

The report claimed Jolie was planning to have her legal team give Jennifer Aniston the third degree about Pitt’s alleged anger issues.

“It was a devious and ruthless move on Angie’s part,” the insider noted.

“Brad was in an impossible situation. No matter what happened, there was nothing positive in it for him,” celebrity divorce attorney Raoul Felder told the outlet. “The charges that have been made against him may or may not be based in fact. We still don’t know — and Angelina’s played him like a violin.”

Jennifer Aniston began dating her husband Justin Theroux in 2011, around the time they filmed Wanderlust, and in 2015, they tied the knot at their home in Bel Air surrounded by close friends and family members, including talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, Ellen Degeneres, Portia De Rossi, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and more. The couple was also treated to a performance by Sia during their reception.
